Pink-ish Wednesday! Ombre Fun with Inglot Colour Play Nail Polishes

(**Inglot Press Samples**)
Happy Humpday!!

It's only been about an Eon since I've done a Pink Wednesday... So, here is a Pink Wednesday post ♥. A few weeks back I received the Inglot  Colour Play pastel range. These babies are perfect for ombre manis, they really take the guess work out of picking your shades. For this look, I also went back to my roots by doing some stamping. I used my Pueen Love Elements nail stamping plate set.
Inglot Ombre Stamped with Pueen photo DSCN5568_zps002535d4.jpg
This look features Inglot Shades, from Thumb to Pinkie: 388, 387, 386, 385 and 384. For the stamping I used Konad Black Special polish and Pueen stamping plates Pueen 32 on my Middle and Ring finger and Thumb. For my Pinkie and Index nails I used Pueen 28. To finish my nails off I did a coat of Seche Vite followed by a light coat of IN Northern Lights.

Here are my base colors before stamping and top coating. 388 is a clean, light Lilac purple creme. 387 is an aweome Blue toned bubblegum Pink creme. 386 is a muted Violet- Mauve creme. 385 is a light Pink- toned Mauve creme. 384 is a beautiful muted Coral creme. All of these polishes have a slight flash of smooth complimenting shimmer. You can see the Golden shimmer in the bottle photo above. That said, the shimmer does not really translate to the nails, but it does aid in appication. All of these were really easy to apply and all did well in Three, thin and easy coats.

I miss stamping so much. But at the same time, I'm pretty excited because I have all of these awesome Pueen plates that I have not really gotten to play with yet. So I have those to look forward to :D. I have been terrible about keeping up with plates honestly, if you guys know of any sets I may have missed out on, or new brands, share them in the comments!!

So, I am LOOOVING these Inglot Colour Play range. I love them so much, they have even earned a spot on my wall racks. These are great for nail art of all kinds and I just love the formulas and beautiful shades.

Thanks for stopping by darlings!

O.P.I Couture de Minnie Collection Swatches

(**press sample**)
Hello my darlings and happy Friday!

I am so very sorry about the minor posting hiatus. We had some MAJOR personal stuff go wrong last week. Basically, I was "ready to jump"... It was absolutely nothing blog related. Just life... doing it's thing... being a beyotch. But, things are settling down and falling in place so I'm feeling positive and keeping my head up.
Then yesterday, I was trying to get these photos edited and I was having all kinds of issues with the editor I use. I was pretty hissy... Full Moon maybe? Luckily I found an alternative in Photobucket, which I had not used in YEARS. I was bummed, because I've been desperate to share my swatches of O.P.I's new Couture de Minnie collection for Summer. If you are going "Whit a minute, didn't O.P.I do a Minnie themed collection for Summer last year?" Why yes, yes they did, and apparently they had a really positive response. This year they gave Minnie a high-fashion look, and Five new adorable shades for the Summer months.

 photo ced48b62-04dc-40af-a293-b54ec339be9d_zps475bbed6.jpg
All of these swatches, with the exception of Magazine Cover Mouse, are shown with a top coat.

O.P.I Liquid Sand in Magazine Cover Mouse
Magazine Cover Mouse is a light, Red based sparkling texture laced with strong Golden, Silver and Pink micro shimmer. I LOVED the (almost) duochrome look to this liquid sand. I really must admit that this was a heavy and instant favorite for me. I love the hints of Pink sparkle and the overall "Minnie-ness" of it all. I used Three thin coats for my swatch. This texture dried fairly fast. If I had to pick just ONE color to get from this collection, it would be this beauty!

 photo DSCN5408_zps11a96da5.jpg
One hour after application
O.P.I Innie Minnie Mighty Bow
This shade is your classic Candy Apple red with strong Red and Golden micro shimmer for added dimension. This color has a very saturated formula and could well be a one coater. I used Two thin coats for my swatch. This color will be fantastic during Holidays.
 photo DSCN5382_zpsda4e66ce.jpg

O.P.I A Definite Moust Have
This shade is described by O.P.I as a Fuchsia.... I saw hot Coral. It was hard shade to capture because it is SO vibrant. This shade is very similar to Come to Poppy from the Nice Stems Collection. This shade is a bit more vibrant and extremely saturated. I did Two easy coats for my swatch.
 photo DSCN5351_zps89efd7b5.jpg

O.P.I Minnie Style over O.P.I Chic Comes Ears to Tail
OMG I LOVE THIS GLITTER. Ok, now that THAT is out of my system haha.. This cute confetti- style glitter is a simple blend of White, Pink and Red hexes packed in a clear base. I was impressed with how easy it was to work with. I only did one coat of glitter over my base color.
 photo DSCN5329_zpsddcb9a81.jpg

O.P.I Chic from Ears to Tail
What would a Summer/Minnie- themed collection be without your classic Bubblegum Pink creme? This shade is adorable. There is the slightest hint of Silver micro sparkle. It is SO barely there, can barely be seen in Sunlight even. I do think that the shimmer did wonders for the formula on this shade. I used Three easy coats for my swatch.
 photo DSCN5314_zpsfd49637d.jpg
I like this collection a lot more than I thought I would. They really got me in my soft spot with the fantastic Liquid Sand Shade Magazine Cover Mouse and the adorable glitter in Minnie Style. In last year's Minnie collection they went with the more retro-cutesy side of Minnie. This collection is Minnie all grown up. For that, I love these colors.

Are any of the shades in this release speaking to you? Which Minnie Couture would you rock?

Lac Attack Magical Musings Collection Swatches- Part Two

(**Lac Attack products provided for review consideration.**)
Good morning and happy Thursday!

Today I have some more swathes of colors from the Magical Musings collection by Lac Attack. You can see Part One [Here]. Sorry, I am not feeling very chatty today:(. That said, these colors are beautiful!! I can't get enough of this collection or the inspirations behind it!
To see swatches and find out more just continue reading!

Lac Attack Durmstrang

This shade is a beautiful, sheer-ish Blue metallic-shimmer. Durmstrang also has the most beautiful, subtle hints of Gold shimmer that give the icy Blue base amazing dimension. There are also fun Black shards, that are fairly easy to work with. This shade is a bit sheer, but I managed to get away with Three easy coats for full opacity. This shade can also be layered.

Lack Attack Amortentia
Amortentia is a rose Pink shimmering base with strong Violet duochrome. Packed in the base are lovely Lavender hex glitters as well as tons of small prismatic sparkle. This shade is also slightly sheer, but buildable. I used Three coats of Amortentia for my swatch. This shade can also be layered.

Lac Attack Dementor's Kiss over Aphrodite Lacquers Make a Wish
Dementor's Kiss is an awesome blend of small Black and Red hexes densely packed into a clear base. This polish is best layered. This combination in particular is quite AWESOME, if I do say so myself ;).

Lack Attack Beauxbatons Academy over Cirque Cape Liz
Beauxbatons Academy is a light, milky Blue base accented with Blue, White and Gold particles. I LOVE the delicate blend of smaller shapes here. The little White squares are too adorable. IDK why I'm rambling about white squares... I just like 'em haha. This one I decided to layer over a color that was similar to the milky base. I only needed  one coat of Beauxbatons Academy over Cape Liz to achieve this look.

I'm still LOVING this collection. I think Lac Attack did a wondeful job on these colors (with halp from the lovely Glitta Gloves). These are still available(sold out right now but being restocked still) from several etailers and my understanding is that Lac Attack plans to keep these around for a good while.

XOXO

Etsy Mania! Aphrodite Lacquers Birthday Polishes Look

Good afternoon and happy Friday!!

Today I have a fun look featuring some Aphrodite Lacquer shades. These polishes are from the B-Day Collection. I really loved this small group of polishes. Right now there is only one of the shades available on the shop. I hope she will be restocking the B-Day polishes because they are SOOO cute and fun.
This look features It's my Party, which is a vivid Neon Pink shimmering creme-jelly. I LOVED this shade. It is SO vibrant, but squishy and shimmery. The shade of Pink is the perfect, neon Barbie Pink. Application was great on this shade. I used Three thin coats. The awesome Purple shade is Wrapping, Ribbons, Bows. This shade is a grape Purple jelly packed full of micro electric Purple glitter. The formula on this shade is a little sheer and need build up. It is also best to wait between coats. I used Three thin coats for my base. Both of these shades dry a bit dull and gritty so a good top coat is a must. I really loved wearing these shades. Isn't it funny how sometimes less really is more?

And here is a swatch of the loveliness that is Make a Wish from the Aphrodite Lacquers B-day Collection. This shade is a lightly shimmering White crelly base packed full of Small Silver hexes. This shade is simply beautiful. The formula was a dream to work with and I only needed Three thin coats. Aphrodite Lacquers are seriously some of my all time favorite Handmade polishes. I love her signature "sammich in a bottle".
What do you think of these pretties? Aren't they fun? I can't wait to see new goodies from Aphrodite Lacquers. In this mad, polished world of ours there are a LOT of talented ladies making beautiful polishes. It is SO hard to narrow down my favorite indie polish makers. I can safely say that Aphrodite Lacquers are definitely at the top of that list.

Do you have an indie maker(s) that always blows you away? I have quite a few myself :D.

Pink Wednesday! Milani Color Statement Lipsticks Pinks & Corals

Hello darlings!!!

I am in PINK today!! Well, Pink lips anyway. This edition of Pink Wednesday is brought to you by the EPIC WIN that are the new Pink and Coral shades from Milani's new Color Statement Lipstick collection. Last week I showed you guys some quick swatches of the Red and Orange family. Those were some beautiful and classic shades. I really loved the Reds and Oranges... But these Pinks and Corals have my whole heart, body and soul. Not to mention, they are PERFECT for the coming Spring months.
There is only ONE shade here that I do not care for. And that is Pink Frost. The rest are made of total and pure WIN. These lippies have the same soft, watermelon scent as the Reds and Oranges. I really don't mind the scent at all as it does not linger.

Now for some quick arm swatches. And of course I will be posting lip pictures as well! All of these swatches are just ONE firm swipe of the lipstick. Color me impressed (no pun intended). The pigmentation on all of these is seriously impressive.
Pink Frost: A soft, blushing Pink with a STRONG metallic-frost finish. This is the only shade I'm not loving. Mainly because I'm pretty sure I cannot pull it off. This is a hard color and finish to pull off for me.
Fruit Punch: A creme finish, bubblegummy Pink with some slight Coral undertones. I LOVE this one. I've already worn it twice! It has a fantastic creamy finish and applies like BUTTAH. This shade was very moisturizing. Fruit Punch is SO flattering!
Rose Amour: This shade is a light, Blue toned Pink with a great creamy finish. This shade is vivid and lovely. I cannot wait to wear it!
Rose Hip: Is more on the Magenta side, and once again slightly Blue toned. This shade is also in a cream finish.
Hot Pink Rage: OMG LOVE THIS! Ok, so this shade is a HOT, bright Barbie Pink in a beautiful Matte finish. I LOVE the finish on this shade. Even though it is matte, it has a lot of dimension and feels great on the lips. The staying power on this baby is incredible.
Flamingo Pose: This shade is an amazing shade of vivid Coral. This shade is in a creamy finish. I cannot wait to try this color out as I am a sucker for anything Coral!! I bet this will look good on so many skintones!
Flirty Fuchsia: This one is a deeper, vivid shade of Fuchsia with the slightest Purple shimmer. This shade is described by Milani as a vinyl finish. I am SO excited for this shade, it is so vivid and the shine is beautiful!

Along with the lipsticks Milani also released Two lip liner shades for the Pink and Coral shades.
These are amazing! I have only had a chance to use Haute Pink. I used it the day I wore Hot Pink Rage and it was perfection!
And just for fun I wanted to show you guys a comparison between last year's Red Label and this year's Red Label. They are both fantastic. What is even more incredible is how Milani managed to improve on their, already amazing, formula. I was blown away by last years shades. I didn't think they could get any better. Guess what? They SO do!! Brava Milani!! The new Red Label is much more pigmented, shiny and multi dimensional. The old Red Label is slightly lighter and it does not have that "juicy" quality that the new Red Label has.
I cannot wait to show you guys lip swatches of these pretties, along with the Reds and Oranges. I also have som new Milani Ultra Fine Liquid eye liners coming your way soon!!

What do you think? Any colors jump out at you? I seriously cannot pick a favorite just yet. I love them ALLL (except Pink Frost lol). If you are a Pink lover, you will love these!!! I also can't wait to play around with mixing colors and creating cool looks with these beauties!

Lovely Looks with the Zoya Lovely Spring 2013 Collection

Happy Humpday!!

Today I have some looks featuring the shades in Zoya's new Spring Collection. The Lovely Collection is made up of Three gorgeous cremes, and Three beautiful shimmering pastels. The second I saw these shades I knew I would be doing some looks with them. I couldn't bring myself to just swatch them, I had to play with them :D. Zoya's Lovely is definitely Lovely!!

For my first look I went with a cute half-moon look. I might be a *tad* obsessed with half-moon manis. This simple, but eye-catching, look started with a base of Zoya Blu. Blu is the most perfect shade of light, light Blue creme. I wanted to do something with interesting contrast and a bit of an edge so for my accent color I went with Zoya Piaf. Piaf is one of those shades that are so ugly they are pretty. Piaf is a neat, light Mustard- Chartreuse Yellow with complimenting shimmer. I was pretty sure Piaf would not look good on my skintone but combining it with Blu really made it work for me. I love this combination.

How could I NOT do a cloud mani with these babies?! For this look I started with a base of Jacqueline. Jacqueline is a pretty, light shade of creamy Ivory. There is a very slight, barely there shimmer in Jacqueline. For my clouds I used Zoya Julie and Neely. The finished look is really subtle, but so perfect for Spring!

For my final look I wanted to do something striped and simple. I started with a base of Neely. Neely is a gorgeous, light Seafoam creme. For the color accents I used Zoya Julie and GeiGei. I used fine striping tape to create the color-blocked look. On my index and Pinkie I filled in the taped gaps with fine brushes. I really like the end result. These remind me of the girly notebooks I used to carry in High School.

Here are quick swatches of my base shades. From left to right: Neely, Blu and Jacqueline. These were all two coats and I ran into no issues with the formulas.
I have a few more looks planned for these pretties. Zoya's Spring Collections are always just gorgeous and inspiring to me. As always, the formulas are a joy to work with. These shades all compliment each other and it makes wearing just one at a time impossible for me!

Did you pick up any of Zoya's new Spring shades?

Cirque Objet d'Art Collection Swatches: Part Two

Good morning and happy humpday!!

A total quick, random note: I've decided to take a hint from miss Sarah of Chalkboard Nails and created a dedictaed page for Press Releases and general beauty news. You can visit by clicking [HERE]. I have also created a tab at the top of this blog: "Press Releases" clicking on this tab will re-direct you to the press release page :D. This way those of you  interested in what is coming out don't miss out on the news. And those of you who are not don't have to worry about news cluttering up the pretty nail colors and art ♥. LTHP Press Releases is set up as a "blog" so you can subscribe as you would this one if you are interested in press releases and general beauty industry news.

SOO!!! Today I am sharing my swatches of the Second half of the Objet d'Art Collection by Cirque. You can see swatches of the first half of the collection [HERE]. I am so in love with every single polish in this portion I am sharing today. There is something about Cirque nail polishes that is just so classy, yet different and just plain beautiful.
To see closeup swatches of these beauties just continue reading ♥.

Cirque Planet Caravan
Planet Caravan is a Blackened jelly base packed full of multichromatic glassflecks. The shimmer in this beauty is like burning embers and shift from Purple to Copper and Green. The formula on this beauty is easy to work with and does great in Two coats. Planet Caravan was one of my favorites from the entire collection.

Cirque Book of Shadows
Book of Shadows is a very shimmery, Pewter foil. This shade is a little sheer but it builds up to opacity in Three coats.

Cirque for Mei Mei's Signatures Fleur est Belle
This shade is a Mei Mei's Signatures exclusive. Fleur est Belle is a soft Pink, shimmery jelly base. Packed in the beautiful base are White and bright Gold Hexes as well as smaller light Green and Pink hexes and squares. Fleur est Belle is a real beauty. I love that even though it is quite chunky, there is something delicate, ethereal and feminine about it. The formula on this polish is a little tricky as it is so chunky. The good thing is that there is no fishing required, just slight manipulation of the pieces. I used Three thin coats for my swatch.

Cirque Cape Liz
Cape Liz is a muted, light Blue creme packed full of twinkling Pink, Silver and Blue glassfleck shimmer.  While this color is absolutely dreamy, the formula gave me so trouble. The issue I kept running into was some bad patchiness and dragging. I needed Four coats to get it to look even and fully opaque. At least the color payoff is worth the formula troubles.

Cirque Cypress
Cypress is a beautifully unique Copper holographic shade. The formula on this shade is a little sheer but buildable. I used Three thin coats for my swatch.

O.P.I Lonesome George
Lonesome George is an amazing Emerald Green holographic shade. I am pretty much in love with this beauty. The formula on this shade is fantastic. I used Three thin coats for full coverage.
I have to say that I am just so impressed with Cirque's creations. I can't wait to see what else they have up their sleeves for 2013. My faves from this group would have to be Planet Caravan, Lonesome George and Fleur est Belle.

The Objet d'Art Collection is available now from Cirque's shop as well as many other e-tailers. Do you have any favorites in this group?

Nicole by O.P.I Selena Gomez Collection Swatches

Happy Thursday!

Today I am sharing my swatches of the Selena Gomez Collection by Nicole by O.P.I. This collection is made up of Seven full coverage shades and Seven glittery toppers. I can't say I am a Selena Gomez fan, or that I know what her "vibe" is... Judging from the range of colors in this collection I'd say girly and sweet :D.
To see closeups of each shade just continue reading.

Nicole by O.P.I Selena
Say hello to Selena. The namesake of the collection. Selena is a soft, Salmony Pink creamy base with beautiful, soft shimmer. The formula on this color is squishy and delicious, it glides on buttery smooth and even. I used Three thin and easy coats for my swatch.

Nicole by O.P.I Inner Sparkle over Nicole by O.P.I Selena
Inner Sparkle is made up of a "base" of small light Gold glitter accented by light Pink and Lavender hex particles. The base on this shade is clear. While the spread of the glitter is nice, I don't think this shade could be built up to opacity. Inner Sparkle dries a bit dull so a top coat is a must.

Nicole by O.P.I Hit the Lights
Hit the Lights is a very primary shade of Yellow creme with the slightest, slightest shimmer. The formula on this shade was odd. It wanted to go on streaky and then it would even out. I'm conflicted lol. This shade was not the easiest to work with but it was not the worst Yellow I've had to work with. I used Three thin coats.

Nicole by O.P.I Sweet Dreams over Nicole by O.P.I Hit the Lights
Sweet Dreams is made up of light lavender glitter accented by Silver and Teal hex particles suspended in a clear base. Sweet Dreams is the same concept as Inner Sparkle but in different color glitters.

Nicole by O.P.I Spring Break
Spring Break is a pretty shade of vivid Magenta creme. This shade is not very unique but it is still pretty and fun. The formula on this shade was perfect in every way and I only needed Two coats for full coverage.

Nicole by O.P.I Stars at Night over Nicole By O.P.I Spring Break
Stars at Night is made up of Silver and Silver Prismatic micro bars packed in a clear base.

Nicole by O.P.I Love Song
Love Song is a pretty, light grapey Purple with a slight shimmer. It is not quite as vivid as it shows in my photos. Think of this color, with a slight hint of dustiness and you get Love Song. I really liked this shade. Love Song has a great Two coat formula.

Nicole by O.P.I Mi Fantasia over Nicole by O.P.I Love Song
Mi Fantasia is made up of densely packed Steely Blue glitter accented by Aqua prismatic micro bars. Mi Fantasia adds a lot of interesting texture to what ever it is layered over.

Nicole By O.P.I Naturally
Naturally is a pretty shade of Blue toned baby Pink creme with a soft Silvery shimmer. I was surprised to love this shade as much as I did. The formula on this color was really nice an squishy in a good way. I did Three easy coats of color for my swatch.

Nicole By O.P.I Confetti Fun over Nicole by O.P.I Naturally
Confetti Fun is your standard "birthday glitter" rainbow mix. I do LOVE the micro Silver glitter suspended in the base of this topper. As many of these types of glitters as I have I don't even really get tired of them.

Nicole By O.P.I Pretty in Plum
Pretty in Plum is a pretty Red toned plummy shimmer. This shade is pretty classic and does great in Three thin coats.

Nicole By O.P.I Kissed at Midnight over Nicole by O.P.I Pretty in Plum
Kissed at Midnight is the same concept as Inner Sparkle and Sweet Dreams. The blend here is of light Gold and bright Yellow-Gold. I really loved this combination.

Nicole By O.P.I Heavenly Angel over Pretty in Plum
Heavenly Angel is opalescent flakes suspended in a clear base. This was a let down for me :(. It's like there are not enough flakes in the base. A LOT of fishing was necessary and at the end this is what I ended up with... Lumpy nails and clumped flakes....

Nicole by O.P.I Scarlett
Scarlett is a pretty Pinky red metallic shimmer with a light Golden duochrome. The formula on this shade is just a little sheer but easily buildable. I used Three thin coats for this swatch.

These are really cute and girly. I can't say I was blown away by any particular shade in this bunch but it is a cohesive collection. These are already available for purchase at most Nicole by O.P.I retailers!

Will you be picking any of these up?
