LTHP's Favorite Nail Polishes of 2012! Handmade Nail Polish: Honorable Mentions

Good afternoon my loves and happy Saturday!

Today I have my Five honorable mentions in the Handmade nail polish category. 2012 was the year of the Handmade polishes. There was a true BOOM in this market and at one point even a saturation. Many started out selling on Etsy and many later transitioned to shops due to their success. It seems like EVERYONE has/had their own polish line. Some ladies really blew us away and some not so much. It.Was.Crazy! I picked my top Ten for 2012 and then I realized that 10 was not going to cut it. So, I went ahead with Five "honorable mentions", like I did with my mainstream polishes.
To see closeups of my Honorable Mentions just continue reading.

Dollish Polish Spectral Pup (Over Barielle Allie's Lace)
Not only was this entire collection themed after one of my all time favorite movies, The Nightmare Before Christmas, the polishes were just beautifully executed. I just loved the delicate look of this glow-in-the-dark glitter topper.

Maya Tranquilis
I know I have not covered Maya on the blog yet and I feel pretty crappy about that because there are some serious stunners in the batch I was sent for review. Among these stunners was Tranquilis. Just look at this polish!!! A deep, navy jelly packed full of fine multi-chromatic shimmer. I love the beautiful darkened edges and how the Copper, Gold, Green Blue shimmer seems to be floating on the Blue surface.

KBShimmer Hex Appeal
Yeah, this was just FUN!!! And I loved the fact that it is a very chunky glitter in a colored base AND that it applied like a dream. Honestly all of my KBShimmer's were on my (not so) short list. These polishes are really something outstanding.

Cirque Au over Cirque Lapis
Now, Lapis is a beautiful glitter but the feature here is on the amazingness that is Cirque's very own Gold flake Au. I can only compare this to Zoya's Gilty and I can say that Au is slightly more packed with beautiful Gold flakes. I really just love where Cirque is going as a brand. They are so very professional. Their packaging is beautiful and they do amazing collaborations with great shops and people. It is hard to believe that they are hand-made!

Happy Hands Motherboy over NOPI ?? (I'll have to get back to you :)
Happy Hands came onto the scene later in the year but they really came out with a bang! Every single color I received from Kristi is entirely unique and PACKED with beautiful chunky glitter. Kristi's blends are very different from everything else I've seen and I love that she has a range of layering polishes as well as polishes that can be worn alone. Motherboy really stood out to me because of the perfect blend of Pastel colors, textures and shapes, it is a Monet in a bottle.

I will see you guys tomorrow with my Top Ten Handmade Nail polish picks! Which handmade brands blew you away this year?
