Picture Polish Kryptonite and Monroe

Hello and happy Tuesday!! 

  

  Today I have Two stunning polishes by Aussie brand Picture Polish. I will be keeping this post a little short as it is an AWESOME day out today and I really want to take advantage of this Sunlight!! 

Picture Polish Kryptonite by Cathy of More Nail Polish. 

 Every so often Picture Polish teams up with bloggers and some of their e-tailers to create custom colors. This particular beauty was created by Cathy of Aussie nail polish blog More Nail Polish. There is a cute story as to how I came to have this pretty. If you watched my "Origins Video", you may know that Cathy's was the first nail blogs I ever read. Well, turns out Cathy had seen my video and she contacted me to let me know how flattered and touched she was to find out that she was one of my muses (I was just plain amazed that she even knew about my blog, or who I was). Once we were done fangirling over each other Cathy said that she wanted to send me a bottle of Kryptonite and of course I said YES! She surprised me with an AWESOME Aussie care package and I will be showing you the rest of the beauties later on (Hello, Lynn CtD, Layla Flash Back, Ulta3!!).
 So, back to Kryptonite. It is the most beautiful shade of deep Emerald Jelly packed full of Holographic glassflecks. The formula on this pretty is amazing and does well in Three thin coats.

Picture Polish Monroe

Monroe is a delicious shade of Raspberry jelly packed full of Holographic glassflecks and "dust". This is a similar finish to Kryptonite. However, the sparkle in Monroe is much finer. I love this sparkly twist on a classic shade. The formula on this pretty is really easy to work with, and does well in Three thin coats.

 That is all for me today. I'm tempted to put on my bikini and lay out in my back yard!! It is seriously stunning outside today! AND I need to work on building a base tan as I am haunting this house with my paleness....  But! Back to polish!! Aren't these so pretty!! I can't ever get tired of jelly based holos. They are just plain yummy!!

Random Saturday Spam!

Happy caturday my lovelies! 

  So today continues my random spammy series. I am cleaning out folders like a fool! I know it might sound crazy or weird lol, but this is what I need to do to get myself back in gear. I have a ridiculous amount of goals for this new year. There are many -a- things I want to get accomplished. I am SOO excited!! Many good things are coming! 

Anyhow! Saturday Spam after the jump!

Illamasqua Load 

 The Two year lemming lol. I wanted this color the second it came out back in 2012. Yes, I wanted it just for the name. Yes, I'm 13 in my head sometimes. That said, Load is really a beautiful color. This pale, milky Yellow creme has a really nice formula. Shown here are Three thin coats. A huge thank you to my lovely Erica for swapping me this baby and killing my Two year lemming! I love Illamasqua's Load. And yes, I love being able to say that to anyone who asks haha.

Picture Polish Mardi Gras over Illamasqua Load

 Mardi Gras is a really cute blend of Small hexes in Gold, Magenta and Aqua and small Silver and Aqua glitter suspended in a clear base. For my layering I only did one coat of Mardi Gras. As you can see this glitter has an awesome spread, very easy to work with. I actually wore this look for like Four days (which in LTHP time is an eternity).

Ozotic Beam 906 over Chick Nail Polish Rocker Chick

Beam 905 is a beautiful layering, multi-chromatic glassfleck. I layered over a dark Plum so it brought out some great Violet-Burple- Pink flashes in Ozotic 905. This is a very dense glassfleck and One coat over any base polish will create an amazing effect.

A England Holy Grail 2.0 and A England Ophelia

 This was a random quick look I did. I cannot get enough of the new Holy Grail. I never got the original, I know they are both beautiful though! Both of these colors have an outstanding formula, they could practically be One coat.

A England Holy Grail

 Just bask in this glorious shade of darkened Gold metallic amazingness. I can't even... Just too pretty and prefect!

A England Dorian Gray

 This polish is pretty much the most perfect shade of dark Pewter. IDK how A England managed to make a polish with this finish and it not being brushstrokey! Mind=BLOWN! The shimmer in this color is something so unique and beautiful. I just love it. This shade has a great formula and could practically be One coat, I did Two.

O.P.I Skyfall Collection Swatches

Hey it's Monday! 

  Ugh! Anywho! I FINALLY have swatches of the O.P.I Skyfall Collection for you guys! This collection was released as O.P.I's Holiday collection and was inspired by the new James Bond movie; Skyfall. I'm personally not a James Bond fan. I've only seen a few movies about the famous spy but I was young and didn't get them lol. I also didn't speak English haha! BUT I do LOVE these polishes and they are perfect, not only for the Holiday season, but a great representation of Bond-Girl style and class.

O.P.I Goldeneye

 Goldeneye is a fantastic warm, Honey Gold glassfleck accented by warm Coppery flecks. This shade of Gold is entirely unique in my collection. I love how warm it is, very Holiday. The formula on Goldeneye is just a little sheer but builds up nicely. For my swatch I used Three coats of color.

O.P.I Tomorrow Never Dies

 Tomorrow Never Dies is a vivid Burple metallic-shimmer. This shade is a really great middle ground between Royal Purple and Royal Blue, even though my photo makes it look more Blue than Purple. The formula on this color is nice but it does require s steady, soft hand to avoid brushstrokes showing on the surface. For this shade I used Three thin coats for full even coverage.

O.P.I Live and Let Die

*swoon* Live and Let Die is a beautiful, deep Forest green based shade packed FULL of beautiful Green and Golden glassfleck shimmer. The shimmer is a bit more visible in the bottle than when the color is actually on the nail. The formula on Live and Let Die is very dense but easy to work with. The shade is actually a bit darker on the nail that in the bottle. This color could have been one coat, but I did Two.

O.P.I Casino Royale

Casino Royale is a classic, medium Red toned Purple creme. This reminds me of one of my favorite O.P.I shades ever, Pamplona Purple but with slightly Pink-er undertones. This shade has a great, buttery smooth formula and does great in Two coats.

O.P.I Skyfall

 Skyfall is a Red toned brown creme. Shades like these are not really my "thing" so they never speak to me much. That said, this color is right on trend for the season and it has a fantastic Two coat formula. The other thing about shades like Skyfall is that they flatter just about any skin tone and they look classic all year 'round.

O.P.I The Living Daylights over Skyfall 

 The Living Daylights is such a fun glitter topper. The mix here is of Silver, Light Gold, Teal and Copper hexes suspended in a clear base. This polish is fairly easy to work, with which is nice. I really like the unique combination of colors and the effect the glitter creates.

O.P.I Moonraker

*le sigh*.... And not in a good way. This shade was SO frustrating. The formula is EXTREMELY brushstrokey and hard to control. This shade will also show any imperfections you may have on the surface of your nails which is a bummer. It looks semi- decent here but it took an extreme amount of patience to get it to look this way. They key is to wait between coats an do as little strokes as possible. I have it shown without top coat because as the color dries the strokes disappear a bit and it actually looks a bit more chrome-like rather than frosty. I used Three, VERY PATIENT, coats for this swatch. I also hear this shade chips easily.

O.P.I On Her Majesty's Secret Service

On Her Majesty's Secret Service is an interesting Steely Blue glassfleck laced with beautiful Gold shimmer. I know what you are getting ready to ask. Is it a Zoya FeiFei dupe. I'm going to say "no" on that one. The shimmer in this shade is chunkier and the Gold is more evident. They could be  cousins, but not dupes. No matter what, this is an absolutely beautiful shade and interesting as well. This color has a great, two coat, formula.

O.P.I The World is Not Enough

 The World is Not Enough is a lovely Taupey shimmer, practically foily in finish. This shade also has some flashes of Pink that give it that certain "something". This color GLOWS! Now the one downside is that is is pretty sheer. I believe I used Four thin coats to get the full effect of the polish. I am interested to see how this does layered.

O.P.I Die Another Day

Die Another Day is a spectacular shade or Red-Orange with the most beautiful micro shimmer, lit-glowing qualities. Remember Danke-Shiny Red from the Germany Collection? Give it some strong undertones of Orange and you get Die Another Day. THAT SHIMMER!!!! This shade is easily one of my favorites in this entire collection. The formula goes on like butter and had a glassy- smooth finish. Two coats.

O.P.I The Spy Who Loved Me

 Another HUGE winner for me! This shade reminds me of the AMAZING DS polishes O.P.I released this fall. The Spy Who Loved Me is a beautifully dense, Apple Red glassfleck, laced with strong Gold flakes. This is like glorious lipstick for my nails! The formula on this shade is very saturated and does great in Two easy coats.

O.P.I You Only Live Twice

You Only Live Twice is a great Raspberry glassfleck with strong Magenta flashes. This is not the most unique shade but it is still really beautiful and classic. This shade has that great glowy quality I am an absolute sucker for every single time. The formula on this shade is a little sheer but does great in Three thin coats.

 There are a LOT of great shades in this collection. The Red tones are absolutely to die for! O.P.I always knows how to do a wonderful shade of Red. I am also a huge fan of Goldeneye and Live and Let Die. Overall, this is a well put together, cohesive collection and I really think it embodies that glam feeling of the movies, as well as the sparkle and flash of the Holidays.

China Glaze Cirque Du Soleil: Worlds Away Collection Swatches

Good afternoon!! 

  I can't believe I actually have this full collection in my hands! This is probably one of my most anticipated collections in a long time. The China Glaze Cirque Du Soleil collection!! This group of polishes is inspired and created for the release of the Cirque Du Soleil: Worlds Away movie. I've been a HUGE Cirque fan since I was a very young child. 

  I've seen the televised version of just about every Cirque show, my favorite is Dralion. I really want to see that show in person. I've also had the pleasure of seeing Two Cirque shows in person; Quidam and Saltimbanco. I've been really dying to see La Nouba. Which is the permanent show in Downtown Disney, Orlando. This collection already has a special place in my heart (and my polish racks).

 These colors really do remind me of Cirque du Soleil. The cremes are fabulous! They remind me of the striking colors in the face and body make up that makes Cirque du Soleil so special. The glitters have a playful quality about them and they are pretty unique. The Cirque collection really reminds me why I love China Glaze so much. They really know how to do vibrant shades so well. The range of shades and finishes in this collection is also pretty impressive.

China Glaze Running in Circles

 Running in Circles is a stunning, bright Emerald Green glassfleck shimmer. The base is a bright Grassy Green jelly packed full of glowing Green glassfleck. In the bottle there is the slightest light Blue duochrome which does not really translate to the nail (when worn alone). I have not had a chance to layer this over a darker shade to see if I can get the duochrome to come out. The formula on this polish is very easy to work with and buildable. I used Three thin coats for the swatch above.

China Glaze Bend Over Backwards

 Bend Over Backwards is a deep Reddish Rust shimmer with strong Orange undertones. This polish has that glowing, burning quality that we seem to love so much in Fall colors. If you loved China Glaze's Riveting then you will absolutely love Bend Over Backwards. The formula on this color is flawless and does great in Two coats.

China Glaze Water you Waiting For

 Water You Waiting For is an amazing blend of micro Blue glitter laced with accents of Green and Purple glitter. All this glittery goodness is suspended in a lightly Blue tinged jelly base. The sparkle is out of this world and complex. This polish does great in Three thin coats and it applies very easily.

China Glaze It's a Trap-Eze

 It's a Trap-eze is a very, very light, almost White, Lavender base packed full of varying size hexes in a Rainbow of colors. This polish is the perfect glitter sammich in a bottle. The application of It's a Trap-eze is a little tricky because this is an extremely chunky polish. The best thing to do is keep a light hand that way you can manipulate the pieces if needed. For the pictures above I used Two coats of It's a Trap-eze and top coat because this dries a little gritty.

China Glaze Get Carried Away over China Glaze Gothic Lolita

 Get Carried Away is an amazing surprise in a bottle! I initially thought this was a Black jelly based polish with Silver and Copped accents. Lo and Behold turned out to be an AMAZING layering polish and it looks great over Purple. So what this really is... A sheer Black jelly base packed with small Black and Silver glitter interrupted by Large Copper, Black and Silver hexes as well as some Black bars. Get Carried Away is also very easy to work with, on the picture above I have one even coat of Get Carried Away over Gothic Lolita. I also topped it off with some Seche Vite to smooth it all out.

Now, Get Carried Away can also be built up to full opacity, in Three coats for me. BUT, I think a lot of the effect gets lost this way. When it's layered you can really see everything that is going on in the base. I.LOVE.this.Polish!!!!!!!!

China Glaze Whirled Away over Def Defying

 Whirled Away is a really fun mix of Black hexes and bars accented by larger White hexes suspended in a clear base. I really like the effect this polish creates. Something about it reminds me of clowns and the circus (I think that's what they were going for lol). I found this polish surprisingly easy to work with. I did one "dab" on each nail. Some slight manipulation is needed but the pieces do cooperate. Topped off with some Seche Vite to smooth out the surface.

China Glaze Escaping Reality

 Escaping Reality is a fantastic HOT HOT Pink creme. The formula on this color is very saturated and it has some slight neon pigmentation going on. This color reminds me of a shimmer-less version of China Glaze Love's a Beach from the Summer neons collection. In the photo above I have it shown minus top coat because I liked the cool rubberized finish it dried to. I only needed Two effortless coats of color and the application is very smooth.

China Glaze Igniting Love

 Igniting Love is a really beautiful Tomato red with slight Pink undertones. This is a very bright red. If there was such a thing as "neon Red", Igniting Love would be it. I love Reds like this one, they are very fun. The formula on this color is just beautiful, it has a great consistency. I only needed Two easy coats for full coverage.

China Glaze Surreal Appeal

 Surreal Appeal is a really pretty shade of vivid Coral with strong Pink undertones. This color also borders on the neon. Think of the prettiest shade of radioactive Melon you can and you get Surreal Appeal. This color is insanely flattering for how bright it is. The formula on this polish is a Two-coat dream. Shown with top coat for shine.

China Glaze Hanging in the Balance

THIS color gave me serious rage. Let me tell you why... This photo is nowhere near close to the actual shade. I tried taking photos in EIGHT different types of light and each try was worse than the last lol... So Hanging in the Balance is a true Cerulean Blue creme. Think of Pool Liner Blue with a touch of Green (which my camera refused to pick up). When wearing this color, make sure to definitely wear a base coat. Double up, heck triple up because this beauty is a stain-er. This shade has a great Two coat formula.

China Glaze Def Defying

 Def Defying is an epic shade of vivid Lime Green creme. This shade does lean a bit more on the Green side so it is quite wearable. There is something quirky and awesome and SO Cirque about this particular shade. The formula on this polish is really nice and does great in Two coats.

China Glaze Creative Fantasy

 Creative Fantasy is a beautiful shade of deep Royal(Amethyst) Purple creme. The perfect mix of Red and Blue. I swear my nails did not have bald spots at the cuticles, it's the way the Sun was hitting my nail and the way my camera captured the color (it had troubles with this one too). Creative Fantasy is quite more Red toned than my picture shows. The formula on this color is pretty good, but it does require some build up. I used Three thin coats for my photos.

 I really do love this collection and I don't want to pick favorites :D. I love them all! I know a lot of people had been looking forward to this collection so I hope they live up to expectations! They did mine. The official release date is December First but I've been told by readers that some independent beauty suppliers already have them as well as several e-tailers.
