Lime Crime Zodiac Glitters - 1/2 collection review

Lime Crime Makeup has a line of Zodiac Glitter. Cosmetic grade glitter that can be used in any number of ways. There are 13 different colors in this collection, and I have 6 to show you today. These glitters retail for $12.99 each or $129.99 if you buy the entire collection. They are each 4g of product.

I'm not skilled as far as how to use this in makeup looks, but I can show you how it can work with nail polish!

Top row: Libra, Sagittarius, & Aries
Bottom row: Capricorn, Cancer, & Aquarius
(for this picture I removed the purple shaker lid to get a better color view)

Lime Crime always does adorable packaging, lots of purple and a unicorn!

Each shaker container comes in an equally adorable box. The name of the color product is on both the bottom of the box and the shaker.

You can use these glitters as a solid accent nail. I painted my nails with 2 coats of white polish and allowed it to dry. Then I applied a layer of topcoat and shook the glitter over the wet nail, then lightly pressed down to ensure good contact.

Left to right : Libra, Sagittarius, & Aries
Left to right : Aquarius, Cancer, & Capricorn
You can see the beautiful color flash! Libra reflects teal, Sagittarius reflects blue, Aries reflects orange, Aquarius reflects a light blue, Cancer reflects green, Capricorn reflects a light green.

If you're not interested in a solid accent nail, you could use them to do a glitter gradient. Here I applied China Glaze Spontaneous to my nails and used  Sagittarius concentrated at the tip of my nail and faded to the cuticle. I sealed it with topcoat.

Here I painted China Glaze For Audrey on my nails and then used nail art foil glue to paint random nail art designs to see what would work. Then I applied the glitter and brushed off the excess. You can see that you get a bad case of glitter herpes this way. I had a hard time controlling the glitter and getting it to only go where I wanted it.

I think these glitters are really beautiful and I look forward to using them in many different ways. I dislike that they are difficult to control for fine detail. I honestly wouldn't spend $12.99 for each of these, but that's just not in my budget. I definitely think that they are a high quality product.
