It's my Birthday (and I'll slack if I want to) :D!

LOLOL!

So! It is indeed my birthday today. I am turning 26. I shall keep things short and sweet today, cuz what the title says lol. I decided to spend my day in Two of my favorite colors EVARRRR! I was having trouble deciding between A England Dragon and A England St. George. Then I had an "Old El Paso Moment" and decided, Why not both? lolol
I just did basic alternating nails in St.George (Holo Teal) and Dragon(Sage Green/Gold Holo). I also thought it would be nice to update you on the current status of my nubs. They are coming in nicely and the shapes are finally starting to look somewhat even. After I had the break on my Middle nail, my Index went too :(. So once again, I nubbed them all out. I'm glad they are at least pretty even on length now.

Also, I did some updates on my Let them have Polish You Tube channel last nite! Head on over there to see my makeup stash and storage!

I can't be too bummed out at my nubs when they look so pretty in these Two amazing polishes. A England shall get me through this growth time haha! I'm off to celebrate my 26th B-Day now!!!! I might take tomorrow off depending on how much fun I have today hahahha!

Sation Nailstock Collection Swatches and a bit of News

Happy Humpday!

Today is a special day for myself and Mr.LTHP (who is now on Twitter and IG @Mr_L_T_H_P go follow him for behind the scenes LTHP nonsense!). Today is our Three year wedding anniversary. May I say that these have been the fastest Three years of my life. It feels like just yesterday we were scrambling with wedding plans. Daniel (@Mr_L_T_H_P) is such an amazing husband. I really could not imagine a better man, he also also the reason why this blog exists.
My starting a blog was his idea, and with his support LTHP came to be. So yes, my polish addiction and all this craziness is in part his "fault" haha. He's an amazing person is all! So with that said, here are a few swatches of some of Sation's Nailstock Collection Colors.

Sation RV There Yet?
RV There Yet? is an AMAZING shade of creamy Teal. It is an unique color in that it is vivid, but Fall at the same time. It is a very clean and crisp shade of Teal, it seems to be the perfect middle-ground between Green and Blue. The formula on this color is very saturated with color but it is not thick. This color also dries to a cool semi-rubbery finish as seen in this photo. RV There Yet? does great in Two easy coats. I LOVE this shade!

Sation I Paint in Peace
Dat Green! I Paint in Peace is a fantastic shade of deep Moss green creme laced with fine Silvery and light Green micro shimmer. This is a beautiful shade of Green and the shimmer really gives it a very unique touch, like a shimmery dustiness to the base color.  The formula on this shade is buttery smooth and does great in Two coats.

Sation I'm with the Bandanna
Pardon the odd coloring of my skin in the next photos. One of my lights died the day I did the swatches for this collection. So I'm with the Bandanna is an almost metallic Taupe. This is an uber flattering color, and I love that it is not a taupe creme. Think of O.P.I You don't know Jacques but give it an intense, very dense shimmer finish and you get I'm with the Bandanna. I'm so happy that it is not a creme! The formula on this color is amazing and could have almost done with one coat but I did Two coats. This is a nice twist on a Fall classic shade.

Sation Imagine-Sation
At first I was convinced that I was not going to like this color, and then I applied it and ate my words. See, in the bottle this looks like another deep Brown creme. Here's the kicker, it is actually a deep, deep Burgundy jelly with some brown undertones. Imagine-Sation is very vampy and has a very high shine. The formula on this color was just a little runny, so a light patient hand is necessary to achieve a smooth, even surface. I was pleasantly surprised with this shade.

The Sation Nailstock collection is available now on the Miss Pro Nail site and they retail for $5.00. Now this is only Four of the shades but the collection is made up of quite a few more shades. If these Four are any indication of the rest of the collection then I must assume that they are all beautiful as well.

Now I'm off to spend the day with the hubs and celebrate this awesome day!

Pixi Fall 2012 Swatches

Happy Friday!!

Today I have a quick post to show you guys Three new(ish) polishes by Pixi. These three pretties were released for Fall/ Winter. I won't ramble much today and get straight to the polishes because I really want to get SO much stuff done today! I hate when it feels like there isn't enough time in the day to get done what I need done... Anywho.... POLISH!

Pixi Classy Cocoa
This is pretty much the most amazing, most awesome Brown polish I own right now. I.Don't.Like.Brown... That said.. Just look at this amazing color, how could I not like this?! The base is a light Chocolate Brown packed full of Coppery/ Golden shimmer. In some lights you can even see some slight Violet tones, they are very subtle though. This color is extremely flattering and has a great formula. I used Two coats for pictures.

Pixi Evening Emerald
The name on this one throws me off lol.. This is not a Green polish. Well, what is it then? It is a beautiful, Blackened Teal shimmer. I love the darkened edges on the nail with this polish. The shimmer is really pretty and reflects light beautifully. I used Two easy coats for my swatch.

Pixi Amazing Amethyst
Amazing Amethyst is not quite this Blue in person. It is however, a really vivid and pretty shade of shimmery Amethyst Purple. I've read on a lot of fellow blogger posts that this color doesn't feel very unique. I find it totally awesome. I was trying to find something similar in my stash but I came up empty, so in my stash this is actually a pretty unique shade. This color also has a great formula and does well in Two coats.

I really like this small Fall collection, especially Classy Cocoa. All Three colors have great formulas, which is always nice. I really like the Pixi brush quite a lot. I think it's because it has a longer wand that most polishes. In my book, longer wands make for easier application. Pixi polishes are available from Target and retail for $8.00.

Happy Friday and thanks for stopping by!

Frankens by Polish for Thought

Happy Sunday!!

Today I have Four lovely frankens that were sent to me by Nicole of Polish for Thought. She sent me some pretty cute creations and left the task of naming them up to me, which was a lot of fun. She wanted me to be "punny" and funny with the names so I did my best to try and live up to her expectations since she gave me awesome colors to work with :D!
To see swatches of these pretty frankens just keep on reading :D!

She makes frankens for fun. I'm not really sure if she plans to open up shop and sell her pretties. In my book, she totally should because these Four pretties she sent are TOO DAMN cute!

Franken Shaken, Not Stirred
So I named this awesome layering Blue, Shaken, Not Stirred. The name comes from the slight settling with this color. The iridescent round Silvery bits like to settle at the bottom and you have to give this baby a good shake to mix it back up. There are some opalescent flakies in this polish as well as some awesome Pink shimmer. I layered Shaken, Not Stirred over China Glaze Ride the Waves. Doesn't it kind of look like a tall glass of a refreshing drink (that might make you wakeup in a strangers house with a bad reputation looool)?

Franken Teal-Schmeal
Teal- Schmeal gets its name from the hidden flashes of Violet that my pictures are not entirely showing you. While the dominant color is a dark Peacock Teal there are strong undertones of Violet shimmer. I really love this one because it reminds me of one of my first ever polish loves: Illamasqua Viridian.

Franken No Mermaids Here
Seems like every color that is slightly sparkly and Teal immediately gets named "Mermaids Something" or "Something Ocean" so... No Mermaids Here just seemed fitting lol. This one is a dense blend of Micro glitter in many different shades of Aqua and Golden as well as opalescent flakies in the mix. I layered No Mermaids Here over Cult Nails Feelin Froggy.

Franken Princess Bubblegum
So.. I pretty much LOVE Cartoon Network's show Adventure Time. One of the character is named Princess Bubblegum and this pretty creamy Pink glitter reminded me of her. There are some small Blue bits, some Silvery bits and some Silver hexes in this creamy Pink base. This color really does look quite yummy!
These are just too cute! I want to thank Nicole for sharing her pretty creations with me and for allowing me to name them. I hope she liked my naming skills lol. I really love all the opalescent flakies hiding in her blends. They add a little something extra that makes me go "ooh what's in there".

Thanks for stopping by!

My Picks from A England's The Legend Collection

Happy Friday lovelies!

Today I finally get to show you the Three AMAZEBALL pretties the sweet Adina was kind enough to share with me. I had been sitting on these polishes for ever before I was able to swatch them. The Sun was not cooperating with me these past few weeks, but we finally had a really nice day and the only thing on my mind was swatching these holographic beauties. All I could think of as I swatched each color was "OMG" because each shade seemed to be more stunning than the next. I'm thinking I'm going to have to order some more colors from this collection... Starting with Ascalon...
To see swatches of these pretties just keep reading after the jump.

SO as to not repeat myself over and over.. These Three colors have an absolute perfect formula. They are all Two coats (St. George could have been one coat), very pigmented and they have THE perfect consistency. I am always in awe of how A England's seem to have the best formulas I have ever encountered.

A England Dragon
OMG Dragon!!!!!!! This color... I had high expectations for this shade and boy did it just shatter them completely. This is just on a league of its own. The base is a rich Forest Green with a Golden duochrome and a strong holographic Sparkle running through it. This is Golden- Green done right! Eat your heart out Chanel Peridot... You ain't got NOTHING on Dragon.

A England St. George
St. George is a deep jewel toned Teal with a subtle holographic finish. This is the "least" holo-y out of the Three that I wanted the most. However! Just look at it! Is this stunning or what? I've never seen a shade like this one and I love it to bits. This reminds me of one of my all time favorite shades, Illamasqua Viridian. St George is a Teal-er and holo version of Viridian so how could I not instantly fall for it?

A England Princess Sabra (Tristam Eyes)
Tristam Eyes is a light Green, leaning Slightly Golden with a very strong linear holographic finish. This is like office- friendly holo done right. I love that the inspiration behind this shade is partly Adina's baby kitty Tristam, who is a handsome boy kitty with gorg markings and eyes.

I love that Adina is giving us Holographic shades in colors that are unique and different from what is already out there. Seems like there are quite a few companies offering holos but they are always in the same Pinks, Blues and Purple tones.... Well here comes Adina with amazing Green- Golden duocrhome holos and Silver- Lavender Holos... I mean just amazing and unique and well thought out. I really appreciate uniqueness in my collection, which is why A England will always have a special place in my heart and collection for giving the customers what they want and still managing to be unique and outstanding. I'm thinking I need a few more colors from this collection now... Maybe all... Since I started blogging I had been waiting for a collection to blow my panties off and I think that day has finally arrived... A England, I salute you for blowing my mind!

Thoughts?

Milani Key West

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Sorry I don't have a spam post for you guys today. I did not have time during this week to do much plus I had been wearing the same mani since Tuesday because I could not bring myself to take it off. I will be showing you guys this mani very soon, I promise. For today I just have a quick swatch post of a color I used recently as a base for a Jordana glitter. This Milani beauty is part of their Spring 2012 lineup.
So I LOVVVEDDD this in the bottle..... And I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVEEEEEE it on my nails even more. I thought this was going to be a Glassflecky type of finish but when I saw that it was a True Teal foil I just about dropped flat on the ground. This color is bright, happy, clean and Summer in a bottle. The formula is flawless and it is opaque in Two coats. This particular foil has a lot of depth to it and it seems to glow. Milani is really hitting it out of the park this Spring!
What do you guys think? Aren't these some awesome mermaid nails? Uggh! Just love Key West. I love the color and I love the island that inspired the color. Milani has quickly become one of my favorite drugstore brands.

Thoughts on Key West?

butter LONDON Slapper and Trout Pout- Spring 2012

Good morning loves!!

Today's post is a quickie. I just got these Two BL's in the mamamail and I had to try them like.. STAT. I had been really looking forward to these BL cremes. I've always read wonderful things about butter LONDON cremes and had yet to try one. I have to say that these have some of the best formulas I've ever encountered. I also love how bright and saturated these colors are.

butter LONDON Slapper
Slapper..... How I wish this color would photograph accurately... It is quite a bit Greener and not quite this Blue. It is, however, this BRIGHT. This color borders on being a Turqoise neon, but it is not a neon. The formula for Slapper is just stunning. This color practically applies itself. Uuummm... Go ahead and double up on the baecoat before putting on this pretty. I love these bright Spring Teals that seem to be hitting the scene for Spring. This color is opaque in Two effortless coats.

butter LONDON Trout Pout
AHHHHHHH OMFGGGGG!!! I.Love.This. Trout Pout is a bright Salmon Pink. This color also borders on neon- like brightness which makes it AWESOME. I don't even know how to put into words how much I love this creme. Even though this color is insanely bright I also found it VERY flattering on my skintone. Great Spring shade. This color is opaque in Two effortless coats.

I flippin' love the names of the colors in this collection. I love how they border on being offensive because that is just my kind of humor. I'm neither a Slapper nor a Trout Pout but I can promise you that I will be rocking the SHIZ out of these colors!

Thoughts?
