Nicole by O.P.I CVS Exclusives- Holiday 2012

Good Morning loves!!!

Today I have swatches of Nicole by O.P.I latest CVS Exclusives release. This group is made up of Seven shades. There are Three cremes, a shimmer and Three frosts. These were released during winter, but the colors feel very Spring-y to me. The cremes are amazing!
To see close up swatches and reviews just continue reading ♥.
Nicole by O.P.I I Sea You and Raise You
I Sea You and Raise You is a beautiful Periwinkle Blue creme. It is vivid, but not this vivid... *le sigh*. This is a great shade of Blue and it has an amazing, buttery smooth formula. I used Three thin, easy coats for full coverage. I think this would be my fave from this collection if I had to pick.

Nicole by O.P.I Don't Over Pink It
Don't Over Pink It is a really pretty, light Bubblegum Pink with a squishy formula. It is not extremely unique but I do like that it is not a full on creme, and that squishy look. The formula on this shade is great, very smooth and even. I used Three thin coats.

Nicol by O.P.I Feeling Grapeful
Feeling Grapeful is a light Red toned Purple with the same squishy texture as Don't Over Pink It. This is a great classic shade of Purple, very flattering and wearable. The formula is really good and does great in Three thin coats.

Nicole by O.P.I Marooned in Paradise
This is a great shade if you are into the Oxblood trend. Marooned in Paradise is an awesome shade of lightly shimmery Oxblood. The shimmer leans to Pink to it gives the Maroon base some pretty flashes of light color and it does not pull so Brown. This shade has a great Three coat formula.

Nicole by O.P.I Always a Silver Lining
Always a Silver Lining is a really flashy Silver Shimmer with slight hints of Blue. This shade has a very dense formula and it is practically foil like in finish. I only needed Two coats for full opacity.

Nicole by O.P.I Personally Speaking
Personally Speaking... is a Rose-Gold metallic- frost. This is an odd shade and I'm not entirely sure what to make of it. I'm sure this will stamp really well! The formula is a little streaky, but at least it is not patchy. I did Three coats for my swatch.

Nicole by O.P.I A Pinker Shade of Pale
Another shade I'm not sure about... A Pinker Shade of Pale is a very, very pale of frosty Lavender-Pink. The formula is not patchy but it shows brushstrokes. For my swatch I used Three thin, patient coats. It is also best to wait between coats.

So, I was with them up until Always a Silver Lining. They kinda lost me with the frosty shades, but they do have to make polish for everyone, and somewhere out there is a gal who likes frost shades. Try as I might, I will never get into the frost finish. My absolute fave is I Sea you and Raise You, I also really like Marooned in Paradise. These are available now at CVS stores.

Do you have any picks from this group?

O.P.I The Amazing Spiderman Collection Swatches

Happy Caturday!!!

Today I have swatches of O.P.I's The Amazing Spiderman Collection. This collection is an interesting mix of colors and finishes. I'm not feeling super chatty today so I'll get straight to the swatches :D.

O.P.I Just Spotted the Lizzard
Just Spotted the Lizzard is an Olive Green metallic with a slight Blue duchrome. We all know what this looks like so I won't bother to point it out... I actually do not own anything to compare this to, so it is unique in my collection. This color has a nice formula and seems to do best in Three thin coats. It is interesting, but I still don't know how I feel about it honestly. I wish that duochrome you see in the bottle really translated to the nail. Apply carefully to avoid brushstrokes.

O.P.I Shatter the Scales over Just Spotted the Lizard
Shatter the Scales is a deep Forest Green shimmery shatter. Am I over shatter? Yes, BUT.... This one is pretty bad ass. Putting this Shatter the Scales over Just Spotted the Lizard was what made me really appreciate Just Spotted the Lizard a little more. This shatter is very easy to work with and as you can see it shatters really nicely.
To see the rest of the collection just continue reading :D.

O.P.I My Boyfriend Scales Walls
 I. LOVE. This. Color. So I am having a hard time deciding if this is a Greyed out White or a very light, clean Grey creme.... You be the judge. Either ways the color is amazing and the formula on it could not be better. This color is perfect in Two coats. I'm a huge fan of White nails. Couldn't tell you why lol... Just love the look!

O.P.I Into the Night
Into the Night is a Blackened metallic Blue shimmer. The formula on this one is a little sheer and does best in Three coats. This color does have beautiful depth and the shimmer seems to float on the surface.

O.P.I Call me Gwen-ever
LOVE this shade as well. Call me Gwen-Ever is a beautiful shade of muted Tangerine Orange creme. Right on trend for Summer but I love that this is not a blinding Orange creme. This is more soft and wearable than some of the other Orange shades that have come out recently. I really like this a lot! Great Two coat formula.

O.P.I Number One Nemesis
This is a super interesting Gunmetal based shimmer with tons of Green, Gold and Silvery sparkle. Once again this color is unique in my collection. For these pictures I did Two coats but I realize now it probably would have looked better at Three. I'm a fan!

O.P.I Your Web- Or mine?
GAHHHH!!! NOOOO!! Just no! I'm sorry but I have some irrational anger at this color. It seems dated and I'm not enjoying that frosty shimmer... I don't even know what to say... I was really actually enjoying  "unwrapping" this collection until I came to this shade. I just cannot get into it. Two coats.
Sorry to leave you with this last shade lool! I actually really like the mix of colors and finishes and I even really like the shatter. I am not loving the frosty Pink but everything else is nice. Maybe all not the most unique shades to some girls but to me they are new and I am happy to have them!

Thoughts?

Some Barielle Swatches

HI loves!!

Sorry for the late post. Today I have swatches of Two Barielle shades I just received recently. Now, these pics were taken with my old cam and capturing Falling Star was actually quite difficult so I will be re doing that swatch soon. I'm kinda bummed... See when I requested these I did not look up swatches. I didn't because I knew I'd love Falling Star and Blackened Bleu as for the Third color I requested.. Well... You'll see....
Barielle Falling Star
This is a really popular and well known shade so I won't go into huge detail. But basically this pretty is a creamy denim Blue base with a sprinkling of Copper glitter. I absolutely love the contrast of the colors and the unique look it creates. Falling Star has a great Two coat formula.

And now for "the bummer"...
Barielle Snap Dragon
This color taught me a valuable lesson.... Look for swatches next time!!!! While I love the shade of Green I am so not thrilled at the fact that it is a frosty finish... Just not cute at all. It is dated and it reminds of of colors that you might see grannies wear... Two streaky coats.
And there you have it. Falling Star is awesome and Snap Dragon not so much... Haha!

Thanks for stopping by!
