Fun with @SugarpillMakeup and The Story of LTHP's Origin!

Good morning!!

I am so excited about this post because SUGARPILL!!! I've never been one for lemmings when it comes to nail polish. Which is ironic, considering the origin of my blog lol. I.LOVE.POLISH. That is a plain and simple fact. Lately though... I've been loving on some makeup as well. More like obsessing over it. I find myself watching countless hours of tutorials from my favorite gurus and lusting after the beautiful makeup they use.
Sugarpill shadows have been my most hardcore lemming EVER. I've lusted after Sugarpill shadows longer and harder than I ever have any polish o.O (True story). I practically want everything they produce. Have you seen their matte palettes (what a silly question lololol)? Sooooooon, sooon they shall be mineee!!! But anywho, for Christmas, my husband got me the Zillionaire Chromalust Pigment Trio. Quite frankly I wanted it just for the epicness that is Goldilux. I am SOOO happy that I got the trio because Hysteric has me in hysterics over how beautiful it is and Junebug is all kinds of sexy. I am aware they sell the pigments separately as well but I figured they would be like potato chips... Can't get just one. I was right. The husband did fantastic this Christmas!!

Last night I shot a quick vid on the origins of my blog. This is one of the questions I get asked most often so I thought it would be fun to share my story with my awesome readers. I'm really excited to finally be doing these videos and answering questions and such. I also have some tutorials planned!! Soon, soonn!!

To see close-up pics of my makeup look just keep on reading after the jump.

It is safe to say that Sugarpill is pretty much the best thing evarrr... I love every little thing about the brand. I had been itching to do a look with my loose shadows so this is what I came up with :D!
I primed my lid with the Urban Decay primer. I applied Goldilux to the inner corner of my eyes with a damp brush. I am still in awe of how intense and incredibly metallic Goldilux is, wetting it only made this effect even more amazing. I seriously.. I can't... It's just TOO good! I then blended Hysteric in my crease and up toward the browbone.
Can we talk for a second about how beautiful Hysteric is? At first glance Hysteric looks like a pretty shimmering Purple but it actually has the most amazing Green flashes that give it that extra somethin-somethin. I had no idea I would fall head-over-heels in love with it. I love that it remains distinctly Purple, even when Blended out. I cannot stand when Purple shadows go Pink, or Grey. I then went back and layered a bit of my Naked Cosmetic SE06 in my crease and blended it toward my inner corner. On my browbone I used a little bit of NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk set with BFTE Cosmetics mineral shadow in Whisper.
On my lower lashline is Goldilux (inner corner) and Stella (A little sample came with the order)on the outer corner. I did the cateye using Milani Eyetech Extreme Felt tip liner. On my lashes I used Maybelline The Colossal Falsies and some Ardell Accent lashes, #305. Speaking of lashes... Sugarpill also has some AMAZING lashes!

On my lips I wore Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Smitten. This is such a beautiful shade of Raspberry tint.

Here is a full face shot. I SO need to do something about these roots in my hair lool!
That is all for today :D! I hope you guys enjoyed the video and such. I really am very excited about being a better you tubber and taking you guys up on tutorial requests!!

Do you have any Sugarpill products, which are your faves? Any lemmings?

My Current Obsession: Cateyes (and crazy colorful eyes)

Happy Humpday!

Today I want to share some recent eye-of-the-day (#EOTD) looks. My family was amazing on Christmas. My husband got me all this amazing makeup and a Zuca bag for me to store it all in. It was a really colorful X-mas!
Recently I've been slapping a cateye on just about every look I do. For a while I was intimidated by the look, and couldn't quite master it. I figured if I never practiced I'd never get better at it so I started doing lots of cat eyes and experimenting with different colors and angles and such. These are some of my favorite cateyes I've done (some have been... :-|).
To see some close-ups and find out which products I used just continue reading.

So... I am STILL terrible at taking notes of what I used where... I'm kind of guessing a little here on some of the older looks.

Cateye on Nude

This was a super quick, ten minute look. I primed my lid with NYX Skintone primer. I used the lighter tones from the Wet 'n' Wild Sparkle 'til Morning Palette. Keeping mainly in the soft Golden tones. I wanted the focus to be on the cat eye itself. For the cateye I used Milani's Eyetech extreme felt tip liner in Black. Right now, that is my go-to liquid liner. I'm wearing Ardell Accent lashes #305 and Maybelline The Colossal Falsies mascara. I.love.BIG.lashes!

Double-Lined
For this look I used the same products as the previous look. I'm kind of obsessed with the Wet 'n' Wild Sparkle 'til Morning palette. For the green line I used Wet 'n' Wild Megalast liquid liner in Turquoise. Which is actually kind of bright Green, and I love it. For the Black I used my Milani eyetech extreme pencil.

Lined in Lazuli
For this look I started by priming my lid with UD eyeshadow primer. I used mainly colors in the Deluxe Shadow Box by Urban Decay. My awesome dad got me this beautiful palette for X-mas On my crease and blended up towards my browbone is Fishnet. On my inner corner is Peace and I blended it out with Grafitti. To darken the crease I used Ransom and a little bit of a dark matte Purple from my Coastal Scents Creative Me #1 Palette. On my browbone is NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk set with Milani White Lie. The cateye was done with Lime Crime uniliner in Lazuli. My hubby got me Four of their liners and I am loving them. I am wearing Ardell #301 accent lashes.

Tropical Brights
This looks features a lot of BFTE Cosmetic pigmets. I primed my lid with the UD Shadow primer. I used BFTE Lemon on my lid. On my crease I have Addicted over Tangerine, which was bleanded up toward my browbone. I did a very, very, very soft and blended out Browbone in Lava Momma. I did a highlight on the center of my lid with Lit Cosmetics glitter in Beyond Pink (♥) set with the Lit Cosmetics glitter base. I replicated the accent on my lower lid as well. I highlighted my inner corner with BFTE Whisper. The outer corner on my lower lashline was done in Grape and I blended it in towards the inner corner. I am in LOVE with my BFTE pigments!! They are so smooth and easy to work with!  Here I am wearing Ardell lashes in Flirty, which have cute little stones on the outer corners. The cateye was don with Milani Eyetech Extreme Felt Tip liner in Black.

Here is a shot of the full face. My lips were done up in butter London lippy in Primrose Hill Picnick. Brows in Senna brow powder in Brunette.
I have quite a few more looks to share. Some are good and some not so much but I will still share them at some point anyways just to document progress. I've been really getting more and more into makeup and embracing my love of color. I stopped worrying about it looking bad. I can always take it off and start over :).

I hope everyone had a safe and happy New Year's Eve and Day!!! What are your thoughts on cateyes?

Fun with @NakedCosmetics Shock Effect Pigment Set and @Ardell_Lashes #EOTD/#FOTD Looks!

Hello my lovelies!!!

I know today is supposed to be a challenge day but I honestly kind of forgot until the last minute yesterday. By the time I had realized I was supposed to be doing my Supernatural nails, I was already shut down for the day lol. So, I checked with you guys on Facebook to see if it was cool to show you some makeup looks instead :D. I will absolutely be back at some point soon with my challenge nails.
These look feature (for the most part) an amazing pigment set I got at The Makeup Show Orlando, back in November. One of the brands that captured my heart was Naked Cosmetics. They display was a SEA of beautiful loose pigment and glitter sets. I practically flew over to their booth and was paying for my Shock Effect set before I even realized what had happened. I didn't really have a hard time choosing this "palette" out from all the beautiful sets because the colors were the brightest and they really JUMPED out at me. Don't get me wrong though, had I not been on a tighter budget, many more sets would have come home with me.
I am also, pretty much, obsessed with the new Ardell Cirque Du Soleil: Worlds Away Collection lashes. I got Four of the Six sets, but I'm thinking I really want to go back for the Two I am missing. I've only worn Two of my sets so far but it is safe to say that I LOVE them. They are dramatic, unique and just plain fun! Just in time for the Holidays.
I am pretty much madly in love with these pigments and lashes. The pigments are very versatile! They can be used as eyeshadow, eyeliner and even on the lips. They can be built up to be very vibrant, or blended out for a pretty flush of unique color. I'm always intimidated by loose pigments, because I am not a fan of "fallout". I am happy to report that these are deliciously creamy in texture, they are easy to blend and build up. I did not have an issue with fallout at all. I am very pleased with the color payoff in these babies. I did use my NYX primer (Skintone) and my NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk as a base for these looks to really make the pigments pop. These can be worn dry, wet or with primer. They are really very, very versatile.

To read me rave some more about my Naked Cosmetics pigments, my beautiful new Ardell lashes and see close ups of these looks just keep on reading ♥.

I still feel like a little girl playing with mommy's makeup sometimes, BUT I really think I'm getting better at this lol. I'm really having fun playing with bolder colors and looks. I am also having a lot of fun playing with different types of lashes and cat-eyes. Practice makes perfect, right?

All these looks are done over a primed eyelid and lower lashline. I use the NYX Skintone primer followed by a light layer of NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk to bring the colors out.

Fairy Brights/ Ardell Surreal Lashes.
This is a pretty simple look but very colorful. I am pretty much obssesed with these lashes, BTW. I got So many compliments the day I wore them. This look features pigments from the Shock Effect set. I am pretty bummed that these pigments are not named. It makes the look harder to go through. So on my lid (from outer corner to inner corner): Shock Effect #05, #06, #04. On my inner corner close t the nose there is a little bit of blended out #01. This shade can go from bright Yellow, to soft Honey Gold depending on how much you pack it, and what it is layered over. On my browbone is Lime Crime Magic Dust in Cupcake Thief.
On my bottom lashline (from outer corner to inner corner) I have Shock Effect in #03, #02, #01 . The lashes are from Ardell's Cirque Collection, the Surreal set. They add just a hint of glittery goodness. Perfect for holiday parties, or feeling like an overall fairy. I am a FAN! I did the cat eye with Milani's EyeTech Extreme Felt Tip liner. I did my waterline with L'oreal HIP Black Pencil liner. Mascara is Maybelline Falsies. Brows filled in with Senna brow powder and pomade(♥).
Note: I am still new to lash application/ working with lashes. I'm not fantastic at it but I am getting more comfortable with the process.
On my lips is Revlon Balm Stain in Sweetheart with NYX Soft matte creme color in Addis Ababba.
I painted some bobby pins in Zoya Meg :).

Gilded Mermaid/ Ardell Mystical Lashes
I really love metallic Gold eyeshadows. I want ALL the Gold eyeshadows! The Gold in my inner corner is Maybelline's Golden Halo. On my crease and outer corner of my lower lashline I have Shock Effect pigment #03. I darkened my outer corner on my lid with Milani pressed powder shadow in Just Perfect and Olympian.
I lined my waterline with Milani Shadow Eyez Pencil in Brown Deluxe. The lashes are from Ardell's Cirque Collection, Mystical Set. Very dramatic and full, I love the Black glitter strip.
My lips were done up in LAQA & Co. Fat Lip Pencil in Lambchop. Mascara is Maybelline Falsies. Brows filled in with Senna brow powder and pomade(♥).

Ice King Queen
This was a super fast, Five minute look. I have Shock Effect Pigment in #06 and #04 on my eyelids. I did #06 all over my lid and crease and did a little bit of #04 on the center of my lid to create a pretty Violet duochrome. My lower lashline and waterline were done in Milani Shadow Eyez pencil in Aquatic Style
My lips were done in AJ Crimson Kissable Couture in MysteriousI did my waterline with L'oreal HIP Black Pencil liner. Mascara is Maybelline Falsies. Brows filled in with Senna brow powder and pomade(♥).

Flower Power/ Ardell Accent Lashes 301
This look also features mostly Shock Effect Pigments. On my eye lid I am wearing Sock Effect #04 on the center of my lid, #01 on my inner corner and #05 on my outer corner and blended up into my crease and browbone. My browbone was done in Lime Crime Cupcake Thief. My lower lash line was done with Sock Effect #06, Milani Shadow Eyez in Aquatic Style and Shock Effect in #02. I did my waterline with L'oreal HIP Black Pencil liner. Mascara is Maybelline Falsies. Brows filled in with Senna brow powder and pomade(♥). I am wearing accent lashes by Ardell, 301-Black.

Now for fun! Here are some shots of the Naked Cosmetics Booth from The Makeup Show Orlando. Photos courtesy of Mr.LTHP. Can you spot the Shock Effect set ;-)?
They were not all shimmery, they also had some loose matte pigments in neutral tones. they also had BEAUTIFUL loose glitters.
I am really hoping to get my hands on a few more of their beautiful pigments. I am so happy with this purchase. I think I remember some pastels and some delish Golden-Copper-Bronze Metallic that have my name written all over them. The girls at the booth were awesome and very helpful! Their booth was really cute too, I could have not passed it up even if I wanted to. Naked Cosmetics Pigments get a big Thumbs up from me!
I hope to get to wear the rest of my Ardell Cirque lashes soon! They are so beautiful and different. I wish lashes like these that Ardell just did for their Cirque collection were made more often by mainstream companies. They are so much fun!!! I will have a recap post of all the lashes soon!
I hope you guys enjoyed these looks! Don't forget to checkout my Zoya Giveaway!!

Lime Crime Ocean Sunrise #EOTD and Full #FOTD Shots

Hello Darlings!!

Today I have the look I wore on mah face to acompany the nails I showed you yesterday. It's not often the opportunity presents itself for me to have a LOT of fun with colorful make-up and this past Saturday was the perfect chance for me to play with some of my favorite Lime Crime eye shadows.
I will also go into detail about my foundation routine. I've had a few girls ask me and I realized that I've been terrible about going into my actual foundation steps and such. Bottom line: I absolutely had SO much fun playing with these colors and I am so happy with how this turned out!
My hair color is currently Sally's Ion Brights in Magenta (cruelty free and vegan!). I am SO impressed with this dye so far. The vibrancy and color are holding amazingly well!

Onto the make up! On my eyes I started with a primer base of NYX Primer Pot in Skintone. I'm calling this my Fruit Punch Sunrise Look :D.
All over lid: LC Magic Dust in Cupcake Thief blended with Coral of The Story from the LC Aquatenea palette. The crease was darkened a bit with LC Magic Dust in Siren. On my eyelid I have LC Magic Dust in Circus Girl. I officially LOVE playing with loose pigments, a bit intimidating at first, but so much fun! And I seriously LOVE the Aquatenea palette to bits. The textures, pigmentation, wear and vibrancy are insanely amazing on these shadows!
On my lower lid I have all shades from LC's Aquatenea palette. I blended Nautilus Prime and AtlanTeal on the outer corner. On the inner corner I used Pear-ple and Seahorse Discourse. On the very inner corner I highlighted with a light base of NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk Blended with LC Magic Dust in Cupcake Thief. I'm pretty proud of how this look turned out. I've not gotten this bold in a while!
My brows were filled in with Milani Eyebrow Felt Tip Pen in Deep and for my mascara I used Maybelline's The Colossal Volume Express. This look was still going STRONG the morning after lol... I know naughty, naughty... I was tired when I got home lolol!

Now for my foundation... It goes like this. I start with a base of Reviva Lab's Make-up Primer. I swear by that stuff. I had only tried one other face primer ever, by Victoria's Secret.... Never noticed much of a difference. Now with the Reviva Labs make-up primer I get a smooth airbrushed looking surface. It's amazing! And one bottle will go a LONG way!
SO, then I follow that with a light layer of Garnier BB Cream. The next step is my bareMinerals(Original) in Medium Beige. I do light contouring with my Benefit Coralista Blush (MY FAVEEEEE!), Milani's Illuminating Face Powder in Amber Nectar and NYX Bronzers, Illumunating in Narcissistic and Matte Deep. Once EVERYTHING is said and done I finish off my entire face with a very light layer of bareMinerals(original) Mineral Veil. I've been using bareMinerals products since early 2010. I just LOVE their powder foundations and the Mineral Veil is the perfect finishing touch.
Blurry and color corrected but no airbrushing. That primer is just incredible. I did my lips in one of my all time favorite lippies and that is Revlon's Balm Stain in Lovesick. It is much brighter and deeper in person. I'm keeping a light hand when I contour because I am just now starting to get a hang of it and I don't want to make my face look ...."severe". I can't sing the praises of Benefit Coralista Blush or the Reviva primer enough, btw.

And then here is a far away shot of my face of the night :D. My eyes look like Sunrises out of the ocean!
I wanna play with moar colors!!! I need to stop mentally blocking myself when it comes to make up. With this look I just went for it, very little planning and it turned out pretty neat! I just need to do this more often. I had so much fun playing with all the pretty colors and trying out loose pigments for the first time and it going so smoothly! *pats self in back* The scene on Saturday night was perfect for this make up!!

I hope you guys like! Thanks for stopping by!

Cult Nails Deceptive Collection Photoshoot Party #FlBeautyBloggers

Hi loves!!

Today I have some photos from Saturdays photo shoot for Cult Nails' Deceptive Collection. Maria hosted a little get together for the ladies of the #FlBeautyBloggers  and quite a few of us were able to make it out to Cult Nails HQ for a day full of polish, fierce photos and A LOT of fun! These photos are courtesy of our photographers for the day; the amazing Mandy Redfearn and Maria's husband John.
It's not often good pics of me get snapped lol. These are a rarity. The pearls and the dress were Maria's styling. The theme for the photo shoot was the 1920's. So we did a "modern day flapper" thing with my photos. On my nails I wore A England Bridal Veil topped with Cult Nails Charlatan from the Deceptive Collection.

Here are all the girls that came out on Saturday. From L to R: Miss Ali of Nifty Ba!, Miss Brittany of Clumps of Mascara, Miss Courtney of Phyrra.net, Miss Kimberly of Libby's Pink Vanity, Miss Safia of Lipstick Mixtapes and Miss Alyssa of Pretty Little Bottles. Front and center is the beautiful and fierce Maria of Cult Nails and back there with the Red head is yours truly :D.
This post is pretty pic heavy so to see more photos of the fun and find out more about the Deceptive Collection continue reading.

This photo cracks me up. So Safia, getting choked by Maria lol, had a LONG day this day. This was a collab between Lipstick Mixtapes and Cult Nails. Safia is an amazing MUA based in Central Florida and she has her own lipstick line! She did Maria's make-up as well as Kai's styling (Maria's daughter, who is the face of the Deceptive Collection).

Here is a bunch of random group shots. The photographer would count to Three and have us freeze in silly poses. This was SO much fun!

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaailssss! In the largest photo you can see Alyssa's nails in Cruisin Nude topped with Charlatan and accented with studs. Ali, in the stiletto nails, went for Time Traveler and Charlatan and it looks like she went back over with Time Traveler to create a Ruffian look. Courtney went for Let Me Fly topped in Alter Ego. On the bottom right corner picture are my hands and Mandy, the photog's hand. We realized our rings were very similar!

We all got a turn in front of the camera and some beautiful photos were taken so I thought I'd share my favorites with you. This is Miss Alyssa of Pretty Little Bottles.

Miss Courtney of Phyrra.net looking totaly mermaid-y!

Maria in her 1920's look. Can you say "hottest flapper ever"? I mean seriously. Safia really outdid herself with Maria's make-up. I can attest to Maria looking this flawless in person. The dress was true vintage and Maria rocked some McQueen booties that are TO DIE FOR! Maria's nails were done in Cult Nails Nevermore with a Frech style chevron in Two Timer with some Gold square stud accents. Maria's nails were done by me. Yes, I got to work on Maria's nails :D!!

Here is a shot of Kai, Maria's beautiful daughter. She is the face of the collection. I think this gal has a future in modeling... Don't you?

Here is future mamma Clumps :D Miss Brittany holding her baby bump and looking beautiful!

I love this shot of Ali from Nifty Ba! This girl is so much fun but I love how this photo shows a "serious" side to her. Then again she is rocking a "Mona Lisa smile". Just love this!

Here is a shot of the Two colorful-heads :D. Miss Courtney and I. I LOOOOOVE this photo and I love me some Courtney too ♥. Fire and Ice :D.

Jumpy-shots!!!! It's not a photo shoot w/o some silliness!

Some other successful photos of me. Kai and I shared this dress. Maria wanted to see how the pale peach dress would do with my skin tone.

I like this photo because it reminds me of this really old, true vintage photo of one of my grandmothers.   The resemblance is almost creepy. I wish I had a way to show you guys the photo of my grandmother.

The photographer, Mandy, liked my tattoo. My lips were spruced up by Safia, she did all the girls lips in OCC tars Courtney brought for us to play with. Safia mixed up Two different OCC Lip tars. I believe she mixed Strumpet and Anime for my custom, radioactive Berry shade.

John and Maria discussing shots of the day.

Now this was kind of a popular pose for the day. John snapped this shot and I think it's one of the better photos of me, ever(kind of). But it could have been anyone, this is just good photo taking on the photogs part lol.

The sillies!! Whenever we all get together it's a guarantee that good times will be had. I really encourage any and all bloggers to start regional networking groups like the #FLBeautyBloggers. It is such an amazing feeling to hang around like-minded people and talk about things that we all are passionate about.
I always come home on such a high from hanging around these inspiring and beautiful women. The support and love we all give each other is unequaled. I am proud to call all these talented ladies my friends and that would not have been possible had it not been for the formation of this group.

Now for some information about the Deceptive Collection. [HERE] is the official Cult Nails blog post about the collection. The full collection will be released on September 1st and there will be a promotion running from then until September 8th. I will have swatches of these beauties soon! The collection will be available on Cult Nails' shop.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I can't wait for our next get-together. I want to take a second to thank Maria for hosting such a wonderful day. I cannot wait to show you guys the ideas I have for these top coats, there are many!

Thanks for stopping by!!
