This design ended up reminding me of old china patterns like my grandmother had. I just painted my nails with Lime Crime Milky Ways and applied the water decals to cover my entire nail. The decals are from Viva La Nails, I got them about 2 years ago when I first got into nail art. They are no longer available but there are many similar designs available, here. The decals are just 2 or 3 flowers per cluster, so I just placed 2 different decals per nail to get full coverage. That's also why they're kind of chopped up in places.

Floral Skittles
I wanted to do another floral design, but this time I mixed it up with a skittle variation.
I used a lot of different polishes:
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Cafe Au Lait
Lime Crime Milky Ways
Orly Gumdrop
Rimmel I Lilac You
China Glaze Spontaneous & Sunday Funday

Herbie The Love Bug Inspired
Anybody else love these movies as a kid? I loved watching the ones from the 60s, I wasn't as big a fan of the Lindsay Lohan versions.
These nails were inspired by his racing stripes and number.
Tutorial:
I used 3 coats of Lime Crime Milky Ways and then I topped it with a coat of Seche Vite to speed things along. I waited about 10 minutes before applying the striping tape. I started along the middle of my nail and applied one piece. Then a second piece touching along the side of the first piece. Place the next piece with enough spacing to accommodate another imaginary piece of tape between them. And repeat again with skipping another imaginary space.
Then I used a small nail art brush to apply Sally Hansen Insta Dri Rapid Red & Sinful Colors Rainstorm.
Then I removed all of the strips of tape EXCEPT for the very first strip. That one I trimmed with some cuticle nippers to the edges of my nail. Top with Seche Vite topcoat.
Voila!

Random #EOTD and #FOTD-ness and Pics of my New Hair!
One might say...
That I might be on a slight bold makeup- cateye kick... I got so much amazing makeup for Christmas that I am finding every excuse possible to wear all my goodies. These are a few random makeup looks I've done recently that I wanted to share with you guys!
In some eventuality these posts will become a "dedicated post". Meaning I will only be covering a full "FOTD" instead of several looks in one post (unless you guys like this better).
To see some closeups of these eye looks, some full face shots and my new hair just continue reading! All of these looks were done over a primed lid. I've been using the Original UD primer potion lately and seriously LOVING it!!!
BFTE Cosmetics Birthday FOTD
So, this is the look I wore on my birthday :D. This look features mostly BFTE Cosmetics pigments. On my lid I have Dragon Slayer, Chocolate and a bit of Sugarpill Junebug. On my browbone is BFTE Whisper. For my cat eye I used the BFTE Black gel liner. On my lower lashline I used Sugarpill Junebug on the outer corner and Goldilux on the inner V. There is also a touch of BFTE Electric on the center of my lower lashline.
I used my favorite Red Cherry Lashes (avail from BFTE Cosmetics). I wanna say these are Red Cherry Lashes #110. They are really big, but natural looking. On my waterline and tightline is the Urban Decay 24/7 glide-on pencil in Perversion.
Here is an IG shot of the full face. On my lips I wore Milani Red Label with a bit of Kissable Couture in Fantasies layered on top.
I'm a Mermaid!
This look features shades from the Lime Crime Aquatenea Palette as well as a Lime Crime Zodiac Glitter. On my lid I used Atlan-Teal and Nautilus Prime. On my browbone is BFTE Cosmetics in Whisper. My double cat eye was done with Lime Crime Uniliner in Lunar Sea and Milani Eye Tech Extreme liner in Black. On my lower lashline I used Lime Crime Atlan-Teal on the Inner V and Urban Decay Zeroon the outer lower corner. I also used some Lime Crime Zodiac Glitter in Cancer on my lower lashline. I placed the glitter using the Lit Cosmetics clear glitter base. For this look I chose to wear some of my Ardell Cirque lashes. This pair is called Inspired. I tightlined in UD Perversion.
And here is an IG full face shot. The headband was made out of Recycled leather bits :D. On my lips I was wearing Milani gloss in Raspberry Pie.
Christmas #FOTD
For this look I kept my lids simple and Golden because I wanted the focus to be on the ginormo lashes and dramatic Cateye. I used some shades in the Wet 'n' Wild Sparkle 'til Morning Palette. For the cateye I used the Milani eye tech extreme liner.I have a pretty hooded lid and my impatience caused a little ooopsie. These are my most dramatic lashes, by far. Since it was Christmas I figured flash and sparkle would be ok. This pair is called Fantasy and they are from the Ardell Cirque Collection.
Here is an IG full face shot of my X-mas FOTD. My lips were done in Revlon lip butter in Candy Apple.
Thanks for stopping by today my loves. I had such a fantastic B-day. I was in the hospital, again, yesterday but I am feeling a little better today. I'm tired and sore but my plans today include: laying around, eating crackers and drinkin lots of Gatorade....
Are you feelin any of these looks?

Lime Crime Zodiac Glitters - 1/2 collection review
Lime Crime Makeup has a line of Zodiac Glitter. Cosmetic grade glitter that can be used in any number of ways. There are 13 different colors in this collection, and I have 6 to show you today. These glitters retail for $12.99 each or $129.99 if you buy the entire collection. They are each 4g of product.
I'm not skilled as far as how to use this in makeup looks, but I can show you how it can work with nail polish!
Top row: Libra, Sagittarius, & Aries
Bottom row: Capricorn, Cancer, & Aquarius
(for this picture I removed the purple shaker lid to get a better color view)
Lime Crime always does adorable packaging, lots of purple and a unicorn!
Each shaker container comes in an equally adorable box. The name of the color product is on both the bottom of the box and the shaker.
You can use these glitters as a solid accent nail. I painted my nails with 2 coats of white polish and allowed it to dry. Then I applied a layer of topcoat and shook the glitter over the wet nail, then lightly pressed down to ensure good contact.
Left to right : Libra, Sagittarius, & Aries
Left to right : Aquarius, Cancer, & Capricorn
You can see the beautiful color flash! Libra reflects teal, Sagittarius reflects blue, Aries reflects orange, Aquarius reflects a light blue, Cancer reflects green, Capricorn reflects a light green.
If you're not interested in a solid accent nail, you could use them to do a glitter gradient. Here I applied China Glaze Spontaneous to my nails and used Sagittarius concentrated at the tip of my nail and faded to the cuticle. I sealed it with topcoat.
Here I painted China Glaze For Audrey on my nails and then used nail art foil glue to paint random nail art designs to see what would work. Then I applied the glitter and brushed off the excess. You can see that you get a bad case of glitter herpes this way. I had a hard time controlling the glitter and getting it to only go where I wanted it.
I think these glitters are really beautiful and I look forward to using them in many different ways. I dislike that they are difficult to control for fine detail. I honestly wouldn't spend $12.99 for each of these, but that's just not in my budget. I definitely think that they are a high quality product.

Recreated Pretty Polish
I simply had to recreate this look from the Nailasaurus. I thought it looked stunning! I prefer how it looks on her nails though, the accent nail of studs sits awkwardly on my nail. I think maybe my studs are too big compared to hers.
I didn't have the exact polishes she used, so I used Lime Crime Milky Ways & Essence Multidimension The One and Only. Both sized studs are from Born Pretty.

Are you Givin' Me the Lip?
Why, yes, yes I am!
LOL.. Ok So I am pretty petrified about this post. I have no idea why.... It's mah mouf! Remember a while back when I did [THIS] Milani lippy post? I showed arm swatches because at the time I was just NOT into lipstick, or just plain intimidated by it I suppose. That very day I resolved to get over that silliness. I started experimenting with lippies and practicing my application, taking photos, etc.
I realized that a nicely done lip really does complete "the look". I've also found confidence in bold lips. All of a sudden I don't feel right unless my pout is coated in bright color. I find that I feel most comfortable in BRIGHT shades in the Pink family, but I have been expanding to Red's and even Plums. SO! I wanted to share with you guys some random lippy swatches to start getting comfortable with doing these types of posts.
To see some lippy closeups just continue reading ♥.
Please be gentle lolol!!! Oh and, ok, So I used to have lip piercings (which I miss terribly). That is why I have little dents under my lower lip lo!Orange and Pink
I this photo I am wearing Two of Revlon's Kissable Balm Stains. I LOVE THOSE!! If you have not tried the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains yet, you totally need to change that. [HERE] is a great post about these suckers! This look features Rendezvous on my Cupid's bow and center of bottom lip and Lovesick on the corners of my lips. I loved how this looked, very tropical and juicy. The bonus with the stains is that the look lasted, pretty much, all day. I had to do minimal re-touching of the colors.
Matte Pinkness
I am a little frustrated at this photo because IRL this lip was quite a bit brighter. For this look I started with a "base" of Revlon Balm Stain in Sweetheart. I followed the stain with my NYX Soft Matte Creme lip color in Addis Abbaba. Doing this layering gave me a pretty, bright Pink satiny lip. I am a huge fan of NYX products, especially their matte lip colors. Both the matte lipsticks and the matte cremes are fab!
butter LONDON Primrose Hill Picnic
I reviewed this lip color [HERE]. I feel like this is worth mentioning again though.. BL Lippies have waaaay too strong of a scent for me. Sometimes it can even make me nauseous. I don't wear them very often for this reason and this reason alone. It is a shame because I LOVE the shades I own (Snog, Trout Pout and this pretty). I also really love the wear, texture and pigmentation on their lip products. I just wish they would tone down the smell.
AJ Crimson Kissable Couture in Mysterious
I freaking love my AJ Crimson Lip colors! One of my favorite things in life is an opaque lip color that applies and feels like a gloss. Enter Kissable Couture. I was introduced to the line at The Makeup Show Orlando. While there a group of us were visiting at the AJ Crimson booth and one of the MUA's (George McKenney) started putting lip colors on some of the girls. He picked Mysterious for me and the second I saw it on me I had to have it! The texture on this lip color is some kind of dream, it applies SO smoothly and evenly. These have a scent but it is very light and it does not linger.
AJ Crimson Kissable Couture in Fantasies
For this look I put down a light base of Revlon Balm Stain in Romantic. I followed my base with Kissable Couture in Fantasies. This is my favorite shade of Red at the moment. I love it because it is a true Candy Apple Red. There are no Orange undertones, no Pink undertones. Just classic RED! I had to get this one after seeing it on my lovely friend Judi!
Lime Crime Opaque Lipstick in Centrifuchsia
This is another shade that was quite brighter in person (I need to find better lighting for my lip photos). I LOVE this shade! I really wish I had a more accurate photo because this shade is beautiful! I had no issues with application. I actually found it quite smooth and even. The scent is a soft Vanilla but it does not linger. The wear on this lip color is absolutely ridic!!!! My lips were still stained Pink the morning after lol!
Lime Crime Opaque Lipstick in Poisonberry
Behold! My first ever lip color lemming! Poisonberry is my perfect shade of Plum! I love it because it is clearly Purple. I don't like Blackened or Maroon plums as I am not into the Goth look, and it does not suit me. Poisonberry has the perfect Pink undertones that allow it to remain distinctly Purple no matter how much you keep layering it. I had no issues with application and once again the wear was absolutely amazing! I got so many complements on this shade and I cannot wait to wear it again! I felt sultry and just plain hot lol!
And just for fun here is a shot of the #FOTD that accompanied this lip color. This look is the result of my listening to Lana Del Rey while doing my makeup haha. Do you listen to music while doing your makeup? Do you find it influences your end look? It always seems to do so for me haha.
So, if you made it this far, thank you for reading my first lippy post!! This was really fun to work on and it's always an experience posting about something new (to me anyways:).
So, do any of these shades stand out to you?

My Current Obsession: Cateyes (and crazy colorful eyes)
Happy Humpday!
Today I want to share some recent eye-of-the-day (#EOTD) looks. My family was amazing on Christmas. My husband got me all this amazing makeup and a Zuca bag for me to store it all in. It was a really colorful X-mas!
Recently I've been slapping a cateye on just about every look I do. For a while I was intimidated by the look, and couldn't quite master it. I figured if I never practiced I'd never get better at it so I started doing lots of cat eyes and experimenting with different colors and angles and such. These are some of my favorite cateyes I've done (some have been... :-|).
To see some close-ups and find out which products I used just continue reading.
So... I am STILL terrible at taking notes of what I used where... I'm kind of guessing a little here on some of the older looks.
Cateye on Nude
This was a super quick, ten minute look. I primed my lid with NYX Skintone primer. I used the lighter tones from the Wet 'n' Wild Sparkle 'til Morning Palette. Keeping mainly in the soft Golden tones. I wanted the focus to be on the cat eye itself. For the cateye I used Milani's Eyetech extreme felt tip liner in Black. Right now, that is my go-to liquid liner. I'm wearing Ardell Accent lashes #305 and Maybelline The Colossal Falsies mascara. I.love.BIG.lashes!
Double-Lined
For this look I used the same products as the previous look. I'm kind of obsessed with the Wet 'n' Wild Sparkle 'til Morning palette. For the green line I used Wet 'n' Wild Megalast liquid liner in Turquoise. Which is actually kind of bright Green, and I love it. For the Black I used my Milani eyetech extreme pencil.
Lined in Lazuli
For this look I started by priming my lid with UD eyeshadow primer. I used mainly colors in the Deluxe Shadow Box by Urban Decay. My awesome dad got me this beautiful palette for X-mas On my crease and blended up towards my browbone is Fishnet. On my inner corner is Peace and I blended it out with Grafitti. To darken the crease I used Ransom and a little bit of a dark matte Purple from my Coastal Scents Creative Me #1 Palette. On my browbone is NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk set with Milani White Lie. The cateye was done with Lime Crime uniliner in Lazuli. My hubby got me Four of their liners and I am loving them. I am wearing Ardell #301 accent lashes.Tropical Brights
This looks features a lot of BFTE Cosmetic pigmets. I primed my lid with the UD Shadow primer. I used BFTE Lemon on my lid. On my crease I have Addicted over Tangerine, which was bleanded up toward my browbone. I did a very, very, very soft and blended out Browbone in Lava Momma. I did a highlight on the center of my lid with Lit Cosmetics glitter in Beyond Pink (♥♥♥♥♥♥♥) set with the Lit Cosmetics glitter base. I replicated the accent on my lower lid as well. I highlighted my inner corner with BFTE Whisper. The outer corner on my lower lashline was done in Grape and I blended it in towards the inner corner. I am in LOVE with my BFTE pigments!! They are so smooth and easy to work with! Here I am wearing Ardell lashes in Flirty, which have cute little stones on the outer corners. The cateye was don with Milani Eyetech Extreme Felt Tip liner in Black. Here is a shot of the full face. My lips were done up in butter London lippy in Primrose Hill Picnick. Brows in Senna brow powder in Brunette.
I have quite a few more looks to share. Some are good and some not so much but I will still share them at some point anyways just to document progress. I've been really getting more and more into makeup and embracing my love of color. I stopped worrying about it looking bad. I can always take it off and start over :).
I hope everyone had a safe and happy New Year's Eve and Day!!! What are your thoughts on cateyes?
