Merry Pinkmas with Julep Carrie!

Happy Pink Wednesday!

  Good morning lovely ladies (and boys?). Today I have a super cute and girly Winter inspired design. I love how this turned out. It made me wish that it snowed in Florida. Fun fact: I am going on 25 years old and I've never seen snow... I really want to see snow... In the mean time I'll just gaze at my pretty snowflake nails. It's so much fun to turn Pink wednesday into a Holiday themed mani. These remind me of Barbie for some reason.

Eeeee! I just love this. So for this look I started with two coats of Julep's Carrie. OMG so pretty! To give my nails a snowy look I lightly sponged the tips with China Glaze White on White. Using Konad plate M59 and Konad White and Pink Special polish I added the cute layered snowflake stamps. I topped the whole thing off with some INM Northern Lights <3!!

Here is Carrie all by her self. It's an awesome shade of bright Bubblegum Pink. It is a lot brighter that my pics show here. I really love this shade. The formula on this color is really good and fully opaque at Two coats. The one thing I do not care for with Julep is their brushes are too long and hard to control.

Julep Brooklyn

Happy Caturday!

  Today I have a super pretty Red from Julep. I also did some very simple Holiday themed striping with some glitter because this color was just screaming Holidays to me. It's very much a festive type of shade.

  So Brooklyn is a deep Red creamy base packed full of Red micro glitter. The formula on this color is insane. I could have almost done with one coat. It actually has a cool effect at one coat. Almost looks like lip gloss but for your nails. At two coats, it looks a bit more like a matte lipstick. It is an awesome shade of deep Ruby Red and the sparkle gives this a lot of dimension. It dries a bit gritty and dull and it is a little hungry. I used Two coats of SV to give it full shine and smooth it out. When fully glossy this color is just lovely! For the glitter stripes I used Stipe Rite in Green Glitter and Milani in Art of Gold. Julep needs to make more colors like Brooklyn....

Julep Maven Boho Glam Nail Decals

Hi loves!

  I'm keeping today's post short and sweet because I've been feeling progressively crappier over the past few days. This was my first experience with nail decals and I have to say that I am hooked. Although I love having my options when it comes to nail art and nail polish these decals are great for when I'm feeling... Less than creative or just plain lazy...

  So these came in my December Maven box. I was skeptical at first but after trying one of the decals on my thumb I had to do the rest of the nails. These went on super easy and I had never used these decals before so I was surprised at how quick and easy I managed to get them on my nails. They wore amazingly well. I took them off after Four days because I was ready for something new on my nails. I loved the peacock- crystal pattern on these. 

So yeah. I liked thee a lot. Next vacation.. I am so getting some Sally Hansen decals!!

The Return of Muffin Mondays!! Julep Selena

Hiii!!!!

  Welcome to Muffin Monday!! For those of you who have recently joined the LTHP party... Muffin Mondays is a weekly thing I do here where I let one of my kitties, Miss Muffin, pick the polish I feature every Monday. She's adorable and has great taste in polish :D. She was on a little break while I took on the 31 Day Challenge and today she is back with an interesting choice!!

 So today Muffin picked me Juleps's Selena. This color was part of the November Boho Glam Maven box (which I was not that impressed with). For this look I started with one coat of Selena, then stamped using Bundle Monster plate BM210 and Bettina Art Deco Brown. I filled in the stamp using Julep Gayle and Amy. I really like this combination of colors. It's kind of "out there" but I like different....

MUFFIN!!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥

Here is a swatch of Julep Selena. Quite an interesting color. It's a Chartreuse creme. This color has a magnificent ONE coat formula. I really HATED this color initially but once I saw it on the nail and stamped and all that jazz I actually really like it.

 
I love how it looks in this picture but by the time I was done with nail art and such the Sun was gone :(.

In Memoriam of my Broken Pinkie Nail...

Me in the NUDE!!

  I've had these pics for a while of my nakey nails.. Well, almost nakey. Here I am just wearing Julep's Nail Therapy base coat and some cuticle oil, which is why I look so shiny and greasy lol. But anywho.. I thought I'd share my naked nails because it's been a very long long long time since I've gone commando on the blog.

  This is what I look like in the "nude" lol. Pardon the slight staining :-S. Oh BTW Nail Therapy by Julep is pretty amazing. The pinkie break had nothing to do with a product, it was my stupid fault but this stuff is really good. My only complaint is that there just is not enough product in the bottle....

Well that's it for this shortie post. I just thought I'd share some nudie nails!
