"Truffin" Tuesday!! Barielle Green Apple and O.P.I My Paprika is Hotter than Yours!

Hello and happy Tuesday!

SO sorry this post is running late. I got distracted yesterday while working on my hair. I got into one of my cray cray funks and decided I wanted to re-do my hair colors. I've been taking Folic Acid supplements (per my doctor) and my hair, and nails have been growing SO fast!! But, anywho... My roots were KILLING me, so I got wrapped up in that project and completely forgot to post this awesome mani I did with Truffle's pick(s).
Muffin is still refusing to pick lol. She will just sit there looking pretty like "What, what do you want human?". This week though, Truffle decided to join in the fun and picked me some shades to play with.
I don't know what it is about this look but I LOVE how it turned out. The color combination is weird and yet it works so well. Truffle picked for me Barielle's Green Apple and O.P.I My Paprika is Hotter than Yours. These are both phenomenal, vibrant shades!! They both have amazing formulas, incredibly saturated and creamy! I used Two coats of each shade. For the triangle Purple accents I used Zoya Pinta. I finished the look off by adding some contrasting "glequins" and topping the whole look off with Twee & Honey's This is Matteness- matte top coat.

And here are the kitties doing their thing.

And because I loved these shades together before I even added accents. Here are my base colors. I am smitten with O.P.I MPIHTY!! That said, my camera was not a fan lol. It is an AMAZING Summer/ Spring shade and if you even remotely like Oranges, you will want this baby. Green Apple by Barielle is a really fun and unique shade and you can't beat that Barielle formula!
I'm loving all these fun and quirky shades for Spring and Summer. I think those are my favorite seasons for nail polish. I had so much fun working with these colors and I can see why Truffle has trouble deciding ;).

Time to go finish working on my hair!! I will have pics for you guys as soon as it is done ♥.

31 Day Challenge 2012! Day Twelve: Stripe Nails

Sorry I'm running late yet again!

These new med are really doing a number on me. To top it all off, my allergies are going off and my vision is taking a hit. NOT FUN!!!!! So, Sam and Rie already have their awesome striped looks up. Today's task is striped nails. I went for a witchy-sock inspired look since Halloween is right around the corner!
This look features a base of Cult Nails Deal with It(♥♥♥♥♥♥). For the stripes I used my Born Pretty Store striping tape, different patterns on each nail. The black is Cult Nails in Nevermore which is perfect for this technique since it is so opaque, and the formula so smooth. I topped the whole look off with some Seche Vite.

Now don't forget to stop by my challenge partners Rie and Sam's to see their Striped looks for day Twelve!

LTHP is Back! Daddy Kool Records #MunnyShow 2012 Inspired Nails!

Hi guys!

I am back! Yes!! I wanna thank all of the AMAZING bloggers that stepped in for me for the past Two weeks. You ladies blew my mind in several different directions, and I know my readers were in amazing company. I'm just in awe of the talent in this community. Also, on that note... While I was gone LTHP reached 5,000 followers!! WOW! I need to plan something special to celebrate this milestone!
Today's manicure are the nails that I wore to this years Munny Show at Daddy Kool Records in Downtown St. Pete, Florida (post about this later on today!). My nails were inspired by the sticker that the Record shop, along with many other shops on the DT strip were displaying on their windows to promote the local "art show".
For this fun look I started with a base of Zoya Purity. For the striped nails I used my striping tape from Born Pretty Store and Milani Black Swift. On my middle finger I stamped using Bundle Monster plate BM19 and Zoya Robyn. The splatter finger was done with JulieG Oh Em Gee, Zoya Robyn and Milani Black Swift. On my thumbs I did a drip effect using Black Swift and Oh Em Gee.

Here is a crappy thumb shot... Still getting a hang of the drip technique. I topped off all my nails in some Seche Vite, followed by INM Northern Lights TC then followed by one last coat of Cult Nails Wicked fast.

Here is a shot of the poster that inspired the nails and the nails :D. I am actually so happy with how these turned out. Even at the point when I had all my nails coated in a clean white canvas I really didn't know what I was going to do with each nail and it all just came together out of the Blue. The color palette is just right on for awesome nail art!
I missed you guys so much!!! I had a nice little break, recovering nicely (still working on that). I feel better every day and I am SO happy to be back!!

I hope you guys enjoyed this nail art!!! Who knows... I may just be back later with a Muffin Monday but I will def have a post up soon about the show!

Milani Fall Fashion Nail Trends Project and an Update

Hi everyone!

I'm back for just a quick post to update you all on the happenings of the past week. The surgery went fine. They found some weirdness and addressed it. Not gonna get into details but basically I am still recovering. I still have a bunch more doctors appointments coming up this week and I still need tons of rest. This coming week, I've asked some of my personal favorite bloggers to guest post for me, and you guys are in for a real treat. I am so excited to share the awesome nail art these ladies have done for us!!

Today's post is a recap (I've beens haring these on my Instagram Account) of a project a few bloggers and I paired up with Milani on. It is the Fall Fashion Trends . They created Four different Pinterest Boards, one for each trend, where they share all of our nail art designs. The trends we were to be inspired by were Glamazon, Colorblock, Gilded Rebel and Haute Rod.
To see close up's up each look continue reading :D!

Obvi :) all products utilized were Milani. No stamps were allowed. Only Milani polishes and whatever freehand skillz(yeah that's right... with a "z") we happen to have were allowed. Each blogger was asked to come up with at least one look for each trend... I came up with Nine looks total... haha I was inspired las week... I won't go into detail about each mani as I probably should not even be on my computer right now... Kinda medicated ya'll....

My take on Colorblocked.
Products used: Milani White on the Spot, Black Swift, Jiffy Orange, Gold Jewel FX, Red Jewel FX, Yellow Whiz, Purple Gleam.

Colorblocked 2
Products used Milani: Totally 80's, Fresh Teal, Jiffy Orange, White on the Spot and Black Swift.

My take on Gilded Rebel
This is a little tribute to Effie Trinket by the way ;). Products used Milani Fuchsia Jewel FX, Gold Glitz, Gold Jewel FX.

Gilded Rebel Two
Just a simple layering of Milani Totally 80's, Purple Gleam and Teal Jewel FX. Very Reptar-glam....

My take on Glamazon
Products used Milani Black Swift, Gold Jewel FX and Milani Red Sparkle.

Glamazon 1 1/2
(lol) I REALLYLiked how the moons liked by themselves, I still planned on doing the Red glitter sponging on the tips at this point, but I also liked the simpler Gold and Black scheme as well.

Glamazon 2
Milani Rapid Cherry, Black Swift and Gold Glitz.

My take on Haute Rod
Milani Yellow Whiz, Black Swift and Silver Dazzle. Cling-wrap technique.

Haute Rod 2
Milani Fresh Teal, Black Swiftb and Hot Pink Jewel FX.
And there you have my take on the Milani Fall Trends. I hope you guys miss me as much as I miss you but I also hope you are enjoying the wonderful guests we have been having from the lovely Beauty Bloggers of Central Florida. I still have one more coming your way later this evening.

Now, you guys should really go check these boards out!!

Zoya Week Kicks Off with Zoya Song Nautical Nail Art

Good morning and happy Zoya Week!

I was having issues on deciding which look I was going to kick this Zoya week off with so I held a little poll on Facebook to find out which look you guys wanted to see first. You guys voted for the Song look. I knew pretty much immediately that I wanted to do something nautical themed with this color so I put on my brave face and grabbed my striping tape and micro beads and gave it my best shot.
I started with my Two coats of Zoya Song. Once my base color was dry I carefully placed bits of striping tape from Born Pretty Store horizontally across the nail and painted over them with my White polish. For that step I used Zoya Purity which has amazing coverage.
On my ring finger I did a little anchor accent in Silver micro-beads carefully placed one by one. For this look I set my beads into a slow drying top coat. I'm so proud of myself for actually pulling this manicure off. I've seen so many beautiful nautical themed manis on Pinterest and from fellow bloggers and have always wanted to try one but never had the courage to do so until now. I was very happy with my results.
I am so excited for the looks to come for the rest of the week! I was really having so much fun with these colors and I can't wait to show you guys what I came up with!!

Stay tuned tomorrow for my next look in this installment!

Muffin Monday!! Sation Tardy Tart

Good evening!!

I'm late but I'm back baby!! The husband and I had a great and very chill vacation. We went to the beach and got our tan on, hung out with friends and totally re-did the polish room!! I'll have some pictures of what I did over vacation and a  little video tour of the new, and much improved, polish room soon.  I have a huge new desk now and room to make tutorials!! SO!!! That might actually be happening now :D!
Onto why you're probably here... Muffin is back!!! It has been a WHILE since I've done one of these. I feel kinda bad about that.... But she picked me an awesome color and powered by Bing Energy Drink, some shaky hands and some tunes by Sleigh Bells I managed to bust out a cute mani and try something totally new!
To see Muffin's pick in action just keep on reading!

This manicure came out of no where. Muffin picked for me Sation's Tardy Tart which is the awesome Lavender base color on my Index, Ring and Pinkie nails. On my middle nail the base is Sations's Jock Juggler.  All of the colors used in this manicure are by Sation and they come from their Class of Sation collection. I will have some swatches of other colors from this collection soon. They are so bright and FUN and the glitters are to die for. Also, the people at Sation are SO good with their naming.
So as I said above the base colors are Tardy Tart and Jock Juggler. For the leopard dots I used the same colors and for the outlining I used Sation Miss Emo Shun All (Oh lol... ). MESA will be a b*tch to photograph but if you can take my word for it.. Just buy it. It's amazing. It's an uber deep Indigo/ Violet.. It's radioactive and deep, moody.. Just amazing. You need it! As for the other colors used in this mani.. The same applies.  For this freehand leopard mani I used Sarah's Tutorial. I'm surprised at how well these turned out for how shaky my hands were... I think the shaky hands helped the effect haha. Topped off with Seche Vite..

Muffin!!!! <3!

Here are my base colors before nail art.
These two colors have AMAZING Two coat formulas. I always expect colors in this family to have a thick and/or goopy formula but these were just perfect! They were buttery smooth, perfectly pigmented and more vibrant in person than in my photos. They are not pastel, maybe "neon pastels" if there was such a thing. I really wanted Sunlight pics of these but it is not so nice out today. I also relocated my light tent set-up so I have to adjust the lighting once again. These are not too far off from real life though.
I'm happy to be back and that vacation is just what I needed. I hope I can keep up with this awesome tan I have going on... I hope you guys like this mani. It was a lot of fun to work on and surprisingly easy to do! Muffin is glad to be back!!

Thanks for stopping by!
