Indie Spammy- Spam!!

(**Press Sample**)
Good afternoon my darlings!

Look at me getting a post up!!! I hope you guys have missed me as I have missed you. A few days ago I asked you guys on Facebook if you were interested in seeing some indie spam and the answer was a big 'ol Yes. SO spam you I shall.

Lac Attack Hogwarts over OCC Power Plant
Hogwarts is an awesome mix of small Blue, Silver, Orange and Green glitters suspended in a clear base. I love the unique blend of colors and the pretty, sparkling effect it creates when layered.

Colores de Carol Hero in Disguise
Hero in Disguise is a muted Grey jelly with very subtle Blue-Violet shimmer accented by Marigold and Coral hex particles as well as Black stars. This is a really cute polish, and I loved wearing it, But it was not the easiest to work with, and I had to do quite a lot of fishing to get the glitter pieces on the nail. I used Three coats for my mani.

R. Hobby Cosmetics Holo Berry over SindiePOP White Gold
Holo-Berry is a blend of small Raspberry and Black glitter suspended in a clear base.

Twee & Honey Glittertits over Picture Polish Kryptonite
Glittertits (LOLOLOLOL) is a mix of chunky Silver holo hexes and smaller Silver holo particles suspended in a clear base. This is a fantastic topper for just about any shade.

KBShimmer Where my Peeps At?
Where my Peeps At? is an adorable, soft Yellow jelly with small Pink, yellow and green glitter accented by Circle glitters in Gold, Green, red and Pink. This polish is just TOO CUTE!!! I am really liking the Circle glitters, they add something new and unexpected.

I am still working on getting better on my end. I have not been extremely well, but I am staying as positive as possible. I have many beauties to play with and I am really wanting to feel better so I can dive back into my stash. Truth is I can no longer downplay how unwell I've been feeling. I had been working really hard at "mind over matter" but lately my body is winning. On a positive note, I am keeping track of my ideas in a notebook and when I feel well again there will be SO much awesome happening!!!

Do you adore any of these?

Updated OCC Power Plant Mani- Matte Angled French Tips

(**Some of the products featured in this post were provided for  review consideration**)
Good Morning!!

This will be a quickie post. I feel like all I do these days is bitch about not feeling well, and I am really sorry about that. I have this "thing" where I feel like my body cannot keep up with my brain. There is SO much I want to/need to get done. I have so many ideas floating around in my brain, but I rarely have the energy to get up and DO IT. I hate it :(. I really try so hard not to dwell on my illness, but it has been wearing me down lately. I've never had these many bad weeks in a row. I know this is not permanent and I hope to be well someday soon. I will be heading to the Mayo Clinic in May so, Fingers crossed I'll come out with some more definite answers.
So this cool and simple look started with a base of OCC Power Plant. After a day of wearing Power Plant by itself I decided to layer Lac Attack's Hogwarts over it for some bling. I wore that for another day or so and I had some minimal tip wear going on, but was not ready to part with my mani yet... SO, I taped off some angled french tips and painted the exposed parts with Cult Nails Nevermore. To finalize my whole look and give it some edge, I added a coat of Twee & Honey This is mateness- matte top coat.

I'm hoping to be a little on track this week. I do have quite a lot of pictures ready to go, they are mainly makeup though. I know many of you are here for le nails, but LTHP LOOOOVES makeup too ♥. So, there might be a lot of makeup posts coming your way these coming days. Mainly because I don't have much "nail" material ready to go :(. But as I said above, I have SO many ideas, so many new things I want to try and tutorials I want to film. I just need my body to get with the program and stop rebelling against me.

XO

"Truffin" Tuesday!! Barielle Green Apple and O.P.I My Paprika is Hotter than Yours!

Hello and happy Tuesday!

SO sorry this post is running late. I got distracted yesterday while working on my hair. I got into one of my cray cray funks and decided I wanted to re-do my hair colors. I've been taking Folic Acid supplements (per my doctor) and my hair, and nails have been growing SO fast!! But, anywho... My roots were KILLING me, so I got wrapped up in that project and completely forgot to post this awesome mani I did with Truffle's pick(s).
Muffin is still refusing to pick lol. She will just sit there looking pretty like "What, what do you want human?". This week though, Truffle decided to join in the fun and picked me some shades to play with.
I don't know what it is about this look but I LOVE how it turned out. The color combination is weird and yet it works so well. Truffle picked for me Barielle's Green Apple and O.P.I My Paprika is Hotter than Yours. These are both phenomenal, vibrant shades!! They both have amazing formulas, incredibly saturated and creamy! I used Two coats of each shade. For the triangle Purple accents I used Zoya Pinta. I finished the look off by adding some contrasting "glequins" and topping the whole look off with Twee & Honey's This is Matteness- matte top coat.

And here are the kitties doing their thing.

And because I loved these shades together before I even added accents. Here are my base colors. I am smitten with O.P.I MPIHTY!! That said, my camera was not a fan lol. It is an AMAZING Summer/ Spring shade and if you even remotely like Oranges, you will want this baby. Green Apple by Barielle is a really fun and unique shade and you can't beat that Barielle formula!
I'm loving all these fun and quirky shades for Spring and Summer. I think those are my favorite seasons for nail polish. I had so much fun working with these colors and I can see why Truffle has trouble deciding ;).

Time to go finish working on my hair!! I will have pics for you guys as soon as it is done ♥.

T-t-t-Twee & Honey Swatch Time!

Monday, my nemesis, we meet again....

So I saw this meme a few days ago.. The quote was something along the lines of "January is like the Monday of the Year". I totally feel like that right now lol! There is SO much I want to do and I keep forgetting that I have a whole year ahead of me to do it lol!!
Today I have a bunch of awesome Twee & Honey polishes to show you. I've had these swatches stashed away for a while. I figured since I am doing a bit of "Winter Cleaning" of my folders that I might as well post these sooner, rather than later. Miss Cleo sent me A LOT of her babies so you will be seeing some more Twees in the near future as well.
To see some close-ups just continue reading! ♥.

Twee & Honey Zaghareet over Sation I'm with the Bandana
Zaghareet is a crazy, awesome chunky blend of Pewter, prismatic Silver and smaller Prismatic Golden hexes suspended in a micro shimmer base. This polish is PACKED with big chunky pieces and there is no fishing required. I was worried the application would be difficult with all the big pieces but it was quite the contrary. The big pieces came out with no issues, the glitter spread was good and all the bits lay flat. I'm with the Bandanna was the perfect base for this shade as they matched pretty close and it looked like I was wearing Zaghareet by itself. I don't think I would try to wear Zaghareet by itself because it is so chunky. You can get a better grasp of all the bits and pieces when you put it over something else.

Twee & Honey Pineapple Express
Pineapple Express is a beautiful primary Yellow creme-jelly. I found the formula on this shade to be really easy to work with. I will say that is a little "thick and sticky", but in a good way. Weird right? Yellows can be so temperamental. I can't quite describe it. Anyhow, ultimately I had no issues with application and it only took to easy coats to reach opacity. Someone with long nails might need one more coat to cover the "visible nail line" (VNL).

Twee & Honey Magpie over Barielle Big Apple Red
Magpie is a neat blend of varying sizes of Black and White Hexes accented by smaller Teal hexes suspended in a clear base. I pretty much adored how this looked and was tempted to stop swatching and just put this on all 10 nails lol. I love the White glitters that Cleo uses in her mixes, they are different from everything else that is out there.

Twee & Honey Sphagnum Moss over Color Club Editorial
Sphagnum Moss is a dense blend of rich, Emerald Green, small hexes accented by touches of Gold. This is quite the fabulous blend and once again I found myself wishing that I could have actually worn this. The glitter spread on Sphagnum Moss is fantastic as it is packed with just the right amount of sparkle.

Twee & Honey Yalla Habibeti over China Glaze Running in Circles.
So, even my husband commented on this photo. He literally stopped what he was doing and stared at it and said "That is amazing". Yalla Habibeti is a dreamy blend of small Gold prismatic particles suspended in a light honey toned base. The gold particles in this are delicate, almost flake like. Once again I could not get enough of how my nails looked.

Twee & Honey Hipster Zombie
I adore this polish based on the name alone! That said, it is also a fantastic color. I read somewhere that Seafoam is supposed to be a big color this coming Spring. Enter Hipster Zombie, a beautiful, delicate shade of squishy Seafoam green creme-jelly. The formula on this shade was really nice surprise as I was expecting it to be an opaque creme. You guys know how much I love me a good squishy polish!! I did Three easy coats for my swatch.

Twee & Honey First World Purple over Nicole by O.P.I Always a Silver Lining
First world Purple is a great blend of Purple, Fuchsia and Silver hexes in varying sizes suspended in a clear base. Once again this polish seems to have just the right ratio of everything making the application so easy. Have I told you guys about how much I love layering vivid glitters over Silver foils? The look is always SO neat!

Twee & Honey Pinky Top Coat over Nicole by O.P.I Keeping up with Santa
This look was SO holiday and just pretty! Pinky Top Coat is a blend of Red, White, Silver and Pink glitters. They are all hex in varying sizes. This looked like Christmas Ornaments on my nails. I could not stop staring at the delicate White particles against my Velvety red base and the perfect Twinkles of Silver.

I love me some Twee & Honey. The brand's creator is an amazing lady! IDK what kind of magic she has worked on these glitters but they all have such fantastic application and spread. I love that Twee & Honey has a variety of glitter toppers as well as full coverage jellies and creme polishes. Twee & Honey's prices range from $9.00 to $13.00 and can be found on http://tweeandhoney.com/.

I don't think I can pick faves but I am in awe of Yalla Habibeti, Sphagnum Moss and Zaghareet. ANDDD how adorable is Hipster Zombie?! Any faves for you in this batch of swatchies?

31 Day Challenge 2012! Day 16: Tribal

Hi guys!

Sorry for the lateness with this challenge. I got so wrapped up in the madness of The Makeup Show that I completely forgot to do my tribal nails yesterday for today's post. Not to mention... A year later, I am still absolutely hating on the tribal print trend. I just do not like it. I tried to make it interesting by trying to freehand a tribal for the first time... Here is my feeble attempt...
I started with a base of Color Club's Model Behavior, which on its own is a beautiful Fall shade. I used a very fine, fine brush for the details. I used Cult Nails Nevermore for my striping. Nevermore is an amazing Black polish and very much my favorite. It has a perfect formula for many nail art techniques. I accented my crappy lines with some dots in Nevermore and Konad Special White polish because it was really close by haha! Can you tell I REALLY do NOT like tribal? I was considering skipping today all together hahaha. I wouldn't do that to my girls though! I topped it off with some Seche Vite and followed it with Twee & Honey's This is Mattenes top coat.

Now don't forget to stop by my challenge partners Rie and Sam's to see their Tribal looks for day 16! I know they did better than I!

31 Day Challenge 2012! Day Nine: Rainbow Nails

Happy Thursday!

Today Sam, Rie and I will be taking on the Ninth prompt in the 31 Day Challenge. The task for today is Rainbow nails. I couldn't think of a better way to do a full rainbow look than by doing a watermarbled look. A LONG time ago I did a rainbow marble for the lovely Kellie and ever since I have been wanting to re-visit the look. Rainbow lollies for everyone!
This look features all Bettina colors for the swirls. They are #15, Purple, Premium Wash, Mojito, Yellow and Starfish. The base is one coat of Milani's White on the Spot. Because, in my book, a watermarble is not complete until there is some sparkle, I added a coat of Twee & Honey's Fairy Farts. I topped the whole thing off with some Seche Vite.

I love marbles with lots of colors. Bettina polishes are THE BEST for this technique! Now don't forget to stop by my challenge partners Rie and Sam's to see their Rainbow looks for day Nine!

Twee & Honey All Hallows Collection- Halloween 2012

Good afternoon!!

I seriously cannot believe it is Monday already.... I also cannot believe October is almost over. Where has this year gone?! Today I have one last Halloween Collection to show ou guys. This set comes from indie brand Twee & Honey. There are a lot of pretties in this set so I'm gonne get straight to it!

Twee & Honey Hallow
Hallow is a dreamy, shimmering White. This is one of those "squishy" Whites a lot of us love so much. The shimmer in the polish is so dreamy and just pretty. When I think of what "pretty" should look like, this polish comes to mind. This shade does well in Three easy coats. The formula is nice and easy to work with. This does dry a bit dull so a top coat is a must.

Twee & Honey Viscera over Zoya Ziv
Viscera is a blend of small orange Squares, medium Orange Hexes, some White hexes and some sneaky hearts all suspended in a light Orange jelly base. For this look I layered Three thin coats of Viscera over Zoya Ziv for an interesting glowing finish.

Twee & Honey Holey Sheet over Hipster Zombie
Holey Sheet was an immediate stand-out for me.  This polish is made up of varying sizes of satiny White hexes suspended in a light, shimmery Seafoam base, there are also some opalescent flakies thrown in for good measure. This polish is ethereal and absolutely drool-worthy. I layered Two coats of Holey Sheet over Hipster Zombie.

Twee & Honey Tutu over O.P.I Mourning Glory
Tutu is a glitterbomb of epic proportions. This pretty is made up a small Magenta, light Pink and opalescent glitter base with accents of larger hexes in Magenta and light Pink. I layered Two coats of Tutu over my Black base.

Twee & Honey Ring Around the Rosey over Polished Components Thong
Ring Around the Rosey is a blend of Red, Black and larger Black hexes and opalescent bits suspended in a rosey, shimmery base. There is a lot of texture in this polish. I layered Two coats over my base color.

Twee & Honey Anathema
Anathema is a deep, deep Teal-ish green jelly. In most light it almost looks Black, but it is definitelly a deep Green. The formula on this one is a little tricky so a patient hand is needed and wait between coats. I used Three thin coats.

Twee & Honey Miasmasb over Anathema
Miasmas is a holographic top coat with a sprinkling of Multichromatic glitter. Miasmas dries a little matte so a top coat is a must.

And there you have Twee & Honey's Halloween collection. My faves would have to be Hallow, Holey Sheet and Tutu. I love T&H polishes. Her naming skills are freaking great and the lady behind the brand is a total sweetheart who knows how to bring the lols.

Which are your faves? Also, what will you be dressing as this Halloween?

31 Day Challenge 2012! Day Three: Yellow Nails

Sunday Yo!!

I hope you are all having a nice weekend! Today Rie, Sam and I will be doing the third prompt in the 31 Day Challenge, which is Yellow nails. So the first few days of the challenge are color-based (Red Nails, Orange, Yellow Etc). Much like Sammy I decided to take it day by day as later on in the challenge the prompts become more challenging (no pun intended :). For today I did a simple stamped design that I had been wanting to try for a while.
I should probably re-name this to the Twee & Honey Challenge lolol!!! I have SO many Twees to go trhough! It's awesome.. Anywho.. For this Yellow look I started with a base of Twee & Honey Pineapple Express, which is a beautiful Banana yellow creamy-jelly. For the stamping I used XL plate DRK-A and Konad Black Special polish. I still have not mastered stamping with this huge plate yet and I also don't have the correct stamper, so needless to say, I'm not 100% happy with how these turned out( I know I'm always too hard on myself). I really love how the Index finger turned out. The saving grace for this look was Twee & Honey's Golden Fairy Farts (lololol) which gave the whole look a pretty Golden Twinkle. Once I had added the sparkles I was way happier with the final look. The golden twinkles look like Honey on my little honeycombs :D.

Thanks for stopping by today!! Now don't forget to stop by my challenge partners Rie and Sam's to see their Yellow looks for day Three!

31 Day Challenge 2012! Day Two: Orange Nails

Happy Caturday!!

I'm keeping in really short and sweet cuz it's late Friday nite and I wanna go chill with the hubster lolol! The prompt for today is Orange Nails. I kept it simple by doing a "BWitches Brew" jelly sammich.
For this challenge look I started with a base of Zoya's Ziv(swatches soon). I followed my base with Three thin coats of Twee & Honey's Viscera(swatches soon). To create the sandwiched look I topped Viscera off with O.P.I Barre my Soul followed by O.P.I Ya'll Come Back Ya' Hear? The layering of different toned jellies gave the glitter and metallic base underneath a smoldering, yet murky look. Hence why I dubbed these my "Bitches Witches Brew" nails.

Thanks for stopping by! Sam, Rie and I will be back tomorrow with our next prompt, which is Yellow nails.  Now don't forget to stop by my challenge partners Rie and Sam's to see their Orange looks for day Two!

31 Day Challenge 2012! Day One: Red Nails

Hi hello!!

Oh yeah... That's right.. You may have read on my challenge partners blogs yesterday that we are taking on the 31 Nail Art Challenge once again. Last year we started on this exact same date. This year we will only be doing a challenge prompt Four times a week. I am so excited to take this challenge on once again with Sam of The Nailasaurus and Rie of Nails and Noms. It has been exactly one year today! I am so excited to see how much we all have improved! Last year we all did amazing and had a blast so this year should be even better and even more fun!
The prompt for Day One is Red Nails. Red is not a color that inspires me, at all. So, in true LTHP fashion I waited until the last minute to work on my Day One nails... I ended up with Three different "Red" looks and loved none of them. So I figured, why not show all Three? It's not that they were bad, it's just.... Red..... Can you tell I'm not into Red? Anyway's I've whined enough lol! Onto the nail looks!
Indecision 2012! LOLOL!!!

Red Look One: Sunset Clouds
For this look I started with a base of The Balm's (Hot Ticket) That's Rediculous. To create the clouds I used The Balm's Pink or Swim and Coral Reef-ined. Pink or Swim (in the middle of the cloud) turned out to be a little more jelly like than I was hoping but still opaque enough for the cloud technique. That's Rediculous and Coral Reef-ined  have a really nice, opaque and dense(not thick) formula. And there you have look one, Sunset Clouds :D.

Red Look Two: Kissy Face!
For this look I started with a base of Twee & Honey's Hallow (LOOOOOVEEEE) which is just lovely and I will cover later on. For the kisses I used Bundle Monster Plate BM02 and Konad Red Special Polish. On my pinkie I used an ebay plate, Chinese brand QA, plate QA28. I topped it all off with some Seche Vite, followed by Twee & Honey's This is Matteness, matte top coat (new fave matte top coat!!!). This is a cute look, but not really my style. I wanted to try something different though.

Red Look Three: Ornate Steampunk
For this look I started with a base of O.P.I Danke- Shiny Red. I followed the Red base with the cling wrap technique with O.P.I Mourning Glory. For the stamp I used Konad plate M83 and China Glaze Passion. This look was pretty severe and eye-catching, but again, not my thing. My stamping is SO sloppy! It's been a while since I've stamped o.O.
And there you have Day One of the 31 Day Challenge! I can't believe we are doing this again! I believe we shall be back on Saturday with Day Two of the challenge which I am looking forward to more so than this one. ANYTHING but Red!!!

Here is a list of the prompts we will be following!
Now don't forget to stop by my challenge partners Rie and Sam's to see their Red looks for day One! Hopefully they are doing better than I am lolol!!! I can't wait to see what they came up with!!
