Indie Mania!! Sindie POP! Lacquer- Holiday 2012 Collection

Hello and happy Friday!!

Today I have swatches of some beautiful polishes by indie brand Sindie Pop! When Jessica contacted me about reviewing some of her babies I jumped at the chance. I had been seeing so many of her creations and lusting after them pretty hard. There is something very playful and fun about Sindie Pop lacquers, and I just love them!
To see closeup photos of these pretties just continue reading ♥.

A quick note: All of these swatches are shown with a top coat of Seche Vite to bring out shine and smooth out the surface. Since most of these are chunky glitters in shimmery bases they need a good top coat to smooth them out.

Sindie POP! Mr. Duck
Mr.Duck is a beautiful, almost metallic, shimmering Blue base packed full of Small Gold and White hexes accented by larger Red hexes. I had never seen a glitter quite like this one. With indies we see a lot of creamy-based glitters, this was an unexpected change from that trend. I used Three thin coats of Mr. Duck for my swatch.

Sindie POP! White Gold
White Gold is a soft, Champagne Gold, shimmering base packed full of small Gold glitter and White hexes in varying sizes. I used Three thin coats for my swatch. This polish makes me thing of angelic things. There is something delicate and ethereal about this beauty, and that is SO my thing.

Sindie POP! A Black & White Christmas
This was one of my faves! A B & W Christmas is a shimmering Silver base packed full of Gunmetal, Silver and Black glitter. I used Three thin coats for my swatch. Isn't this such a unique shade? I really love Sindie POP's use of shimmering bases and chunky glitters.

Sindie POP! Holo at Me!
Holo at Me is a saturated Black jelly base packed full of holographic dust. Sadly the Sun had already set by the time I made it around to this beauty so I couldn't get a good representation of the holographic shimmer. The formula on this pretty is great and does well in Two coats.

Sindie POP! Electric Purple
Electric Purple is a beautiful, light Purple shimmering base packed of Holo shimmer and Purple glitter. There is also the most beautiful Blue flash peaking from the Purple base. Electric Purple dries to a neat matte finish that is right on trend with the new Textures in polish. I used Three thin coats for my swatch.

Sindie POP! Sky Sparkle
If I was going to get just ONE polish from Sindie POP it would be Sky Sparkle. This beauty is a light, light Blue shimmering creamy base. This polish is packed with Blue, Magenta and Silver glitters in varying sizes. I used Three thin, easy coats. I actually got to wear Sky Sparkle and I had it on my nails until it chipped off (which never happens anymore lol). One of my friends said my nails reminded him of Pop Tart icing :D.

Sindie POP Champagne Glitz over Bettina Camilla
Champagne Glitz is a clear-based glitter bomb. The blend here is of Purple, Magenta and Gold hexes in varying sizes. For this swatch I layered over a light Purple to show the textures and range of colors. I only did one coat of glitter over my base. Champagne Glitz has a great glitter spread.

And there you have the Holiday Collection by Sindie POP! I kinda feel like a tool for posting these so late :(:(. That said, aren't they awesome!!? I love the shimmer based glitter bombs. Do you have any Sindie POP shades? Which are your faves?

Lac Attack Magical Musings Collection: Part One

Good Morning!

Today I have some swatches of some of the shades Lac Attack and Glitta Gloves teamed up to create. These are shades from the Magical Musings Collection by Lac Attack. This collection was released during the Holidays but the colors are amazing and definitely magical!
If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen my ultra nub post. My nails are now shorter than they were in the Floam post from a few days ago :(. I don't mind nubs but they are WAY too short to photograph and need a few days so in the mean time I will share swatches I've stashed away.

Lac Attack Holidays in Hogsmeade over Aphrodite Lacquers Icing on the Cake over Sation Holiday Golightly
Got all that? lolol So the base shade is Holiday Golightly by Sation. I then did a layer of Aphrodite Lacquers in Icing on the Cake. I then followed that by a coat of Holidays in Hogsmeade. These were the nails I wore on X-mas Day. Holidays in Hogsmeade is an awesome mix of matte glitter particles in Green, White and Red suspended in a clear base.

Lac Attack Holidays in Hogsmeade over A England Holy Grail
I really fell on love with Holidays in Hogsmeade and I was finding excuses to wear it as often as possible during the Holidays. It looked AWESOME over A England Holy Grail 2.0.

Lac Attack Weasley's Wizard Wheezies over Bettina Peaches 'n' Creme
Weasley's Wizard Wheezies is a vibrant blend of Orange and Marigold Yellow Hexes and Bars in a clear base. The girls did an awesome job with this polish and the inspiration behind it. I will be showing a re-swatch of this soon. I like this layering and it looked great in person but I want to do a combo where you can get a better idea of all the textures and shades in WWW. It is such a FUN glitter topper.

Lac Attack Death Day Party over LVX Prussian
Death Day Party is a super interesting mix of very fine glassflecks that shift from dark Chocolate to Pink to Copper and Orange- Violet. It is pretty complex and different. I had a hard time figuring out what to layer this over because I had never seen a polish like this one. The second I tried it over Prussian I fell in love.

Lac Attack Felix Felicis over Bettina Gabrielle
This is a "bonus" swatch haha. This beauty was one of my Top Ten Handmade polishes of 2012.
I will see you guys tomorrow with more stashy swatches. The second my nails are at an acceptable length I will pick back up with swatching all the new collections and busting out some nail art!!

Most of these are currently sold out on the Lac Attack Site but you can follow her on Facebook and Twitter to keep up with shop re-stocks! I will be sharing the rest of the collection soon!

See you guys soon!

X-Mas Rush! Holiday Spun Sugar Nails with Sation

Good Morning and happy Saturday!

Today's Holiday nails are a textured "spun sugar" look that features the Four shades I received from Sation from their Holiday Golightly collection. A while ago I was asking for suggestions on Facebook of what to do for Holiday nails and a few of you came up with the Spun Sugar look. I just HAD to do it!
The base color is Sation Feliz Navi-Doll. The light Aqua strings were done in Sation Holiday Golightly, The dark Green is Under the Miss-tletoe and the Red strings were done with Sation I Love Yule. I did not top coat my strings because I always manage to ruin the effect when I try to to coat. I also like the texture on the strings.
I honestly do not know how these would hold up, or how long the strings take to dry as I don't actually get to "wear" these spun sugar looks.

This is my base shade Feliz Navi-doll. A beautiful Silvery-White packed with tons of snowy shimmer. This color has a sheer-ish formula but it becomes opaque in Three coats. This shade can also be layered.
 Thanks for stopping by loves!!!!

X-Mas Rush! Snowman Pinkmas♥

Happy Friday!!

Today I have an uber cute "Pinkmas" mani. Last year I did several Pink themed X-mas/ Wintery manis. I decided to make it an LTHP tradition to feature uber girly Holiday manis. I really like Wintery- Holiday themed manis that stray from the usual palette of Wintery- Holiday Colors. Here is my girly take on X-mas this year!
I love these so much!! The little snowman is just too cute! On my index finger and for the glittery inverted gradients I used Nicole by O.P.I My Sleigh's in the Shop. The white base color on my Index and Pinkie nails is Nicole by O.P.I It's all about the Glam. On my ring finger I used NOPI Naturally and then did a gradient using Naturally and Zoya Purity to create a snowy look. I topped my ring finger off with some INM Northern Lights Top coat.
For the snowman stamp I used Bundle Monster plate BM319. I touched up some of the little details with a very fine brush. The scarf is Zoya Sookie, the hat is O.P.I Jade is the New Black. The nose is Bettina Starfish. The snowflakes on my index finger are from Bundle Monster plate BM318. I used Konad special white polish for the flakes.
To finish the whole look off I topped my nails off with some Seche Vite and then touched up the snowflakes and snowman with some INM Northern Lights and finally one more coat of Seche Vite.
Merry Pinkmass!!!!

X-Mas Rush!!! Snowy Holiday Gradients

Good morning my lovelies!!

Today's look really captured my heart. When I saw this in my head, it was not nearly this pretty. Don't you love when that happens? I wanted to do something very snowy and subtle, yet eye-catching. I also really wanted to use some of the adorable "Holiday-ish" stamps I'd never used before. So I settled on snowy gradients with pretty snowflake stamps. The matte top coat was and afterthought, and as it turns out, the perfect finishing touch for the effect I wanted to achieve.
This look started with a clean White creme base of Zoya Purity. Once my base was dry I started working on my gradients. For the Green to White gradients I used Zoya Shawn and O.P.I Don't touch my Tutu. For the Red to White Gradients I used Zoya Rehka and O.P.I Don't touch my Tutu.
Sponging with a creme and a jelly made the gradients blend beautifully, flawlessly and very easily! It also made the clean-up fairly quicker because Don't touch my Tutu is a sheer White jelly so it came off my cuticles and skin with no problem. I really like the look created where the White jelly met the Creme polishes. The Red to White gradients required more build-up as Rehka went a little Pink when layered over the White creme base.
To really smooth out the gradients and give them a snowy effect I did a layer of Cult Nails Doppelganger. I was so tempted to stop there and just leave the gradients, but I really wanted to stamp. For the snowflake stamps I used Bundle Monster plate BM323. The Silver snowflakes were done with Sally Hansen Silver Sweep and the Gold with China Glaze Passion. I then top coated with Seche Vite and placed some "glequin" accents on the flakes. I finished the whole look off with a coat of Twee & Honey's This is Matteness- matte top coat to give the finished mani a frosted glass kind of look.
That does it for today's look! I hope you guys like my frosty gradients :D. I am so relieved that I finally have all the shopping done!!! Yay!!! Now I can really focus on cranking out some awesome Holiday looks!!!

What do you guys think?

X-Mas Rush!!! Zoya Holiday Drips

Good Morning loves!!

Today I am starting a mini-series that will go until Christmas Day. Nothing but Holiday themed looks, all day, everyday until December 25th! I'm kinda bummed I'm getting started so late in the month, but better late than never! Today's look is a quick drippy mani in some beautiful Zoya Ornate Collection colors.
This look started with two easy coats of Zoya Ziv. For the Green drip accents I used Zoya Logan. For the Red drips I used Zoya Posh. I used a fine brush to freehand my drips. My initial idea was to let Posh dry to its intended satin matte-finish. Basically I wanted matte against glossy. That didn't work out too well, Posh was kinda looking like dried blood drips on my pretty Gold base. Instead I top coated my nails all in Seche Vite followed by Cult Nails Wicked fast. The top coat brought out the pretty Red tones in Posh and brought the look up to Christmas speed, instead of glam-Halloween lol.

What do you guys think of my melty Christmas look?

Nicole by O.P.I Kardashian Kolors- Holiday 2012

Happy Wednesday!!

The Kardashians are back this Holiday season with Six more shades to add to their Kardashian Kolors  line by Nicole by O.P.I. If I am not mistaken, the first Kardashian Kolor set came out during the Holidays Last year, it was a 14 piece collection. Then there was 7 piece spring set? And now this Six piece Holiday 2012 set. So that makes for a total of 27 Kardashian themed colors so far.... I think that's enough lol.
That said, this set is made of of Six, very pretty, shades. These are perfectly cohesive and totally HOLIDAY! I was very pleasantly surprised with quite a few of these shades.
To see close-up swatches of the full collection just continue readin' after the jump ♥.
Nicole by O.P.I Keeping up with Santa
This is MY FAVORITE from this collection! Keeping up with Santa is an amazing, deep Ruby Red micro-shimmer a'la O.P.I Fall. Very glowy, but vampy at the same time. This reminds me of Velvet Bows and beautiful Holiday gowns. The formula is pretty much perfect and does well in Two easy coats.

Nicole by O.P.I Deck the Dolls
Deck the Dolls is a really pretty Cerulean Blue shimmer. It has the same glowy qualities as Keeping up with Santa. IRL, this color has just a touch of Green that my camera refused to pick up. The formula on this shade can be a little strokey, so take your time when applying. Deck the Dolls has a sheer formula, but does well in Three coats.

Nicole by O.P.I Here we Kome A-Karoling
Here we Kome A-Karoling is a deep, deep Amethyst Purple with slight glints of bright Purple shimmer. Classic! I really like this shade. The best thing about this is that although it is a deep, dark Purple, it does not go Black in dim lights. You can thank that gorgeous shimmer for that! This color has a really great formula and does great in Two coats.

Nicole by O.P.I All is Glam, All is Bright
All is Glam, All is Bright is a very dense mix of micro Silver, Copper and Blue(maybe) glitter. The finish on this shade is very unique and textured looking, but it is actually a pretty smooth polish. The formula on this is dense, in a great way. I only needed Two coats for my swatch. I love the mix of micro glitters in this polish. Very interesting.

Nicole by O.P.I A Gold Winter's Night
I'm wishing I had layered this but here I have Four coats of A Gold Winter's Night. This polish is a lightly  honey tinged base packed full of Gold micro glitter and maybe some Pink as well. The bars are very fine and easy to work with, colored in Gold and Blue-ish prismatic. The bars in this remind me of a Golden version of O.P.I Save Me from the Nicki Minaj collection.

Nicole by O.P.I Kardashing Through the Snow
Another polish I wish I had layered! Here I have Four coats of Kardashing Through the Snow. As you can see it is nowhere near opaque. I have seen it layered and it is much cuter that way. Anywho, the blend here is mainly Silver, Gold, Red, Green, and maybe some Blue along with some other shades I'm sure my eye can't distinguish, clear based. I really like it a lot! The glitter has a nice spread and I like the Twinkly effect it creates.

I believe these are/will be available anywhere Nicole by O.P.I is sold. Overall, I am pleased with this set. For it only being a Six piece collection, it is very well put together. My favorites are Keeping up with Santa, Here we Kome A-Karoling and Kardashing through the Snow

Which are your faves?

Color Club Winter Affair Holiday 2012 Collection Swatches

Hello and happy Monday!!

Today I have Color Club's newest collection for the Holidays; Winter Affair. This collection is made up of Five beautiful, jewel toned metallic beauties and one Flake top coat. It is my understanding that this collection is/will be available at Sally Beauty Supply. However, there are some discrepancies with some of the shades between the Sally's Winter Affair set and the set being sent by PR as well and being offered online and everywhere else CC is sold.
To see swatches and find out details about the colors just continue reading ♥.
Color Club Ho Ho Holly
Ho Ho Holly is a beautiful Forest green micro shimmer suspended in the most glorious shade of deep Green jelly. The shimmer in this beauty has a slight shift from Green/ Blue to Golden. There is actually quite a bit of Blue in this shade of Green, it is very Peacock-y. I love how the Golden flashes look like they are floating over the Green surface. Ho Ho Holly has a great ,Three- coat, formula.

Color Club Gift Of Sparkle (PR Version)
Gift of Sparkle is one of the Two shades that are different at Sally's. This version of Gift of Sparkle is a pretty mix of micro Purple and Red glitter that make up the base and accents of Holo twinkling glitter. The balance of Red and Purple in the base is perfect and gives the polish, an almost, duochrome like effect. This color requires some build up for opacity and it is best to wait between coats, I used Three. This polish dries a bit gritty so a good top coat is a must. The Sally's version of this color is a deep Blue metallic scented shade much like last year's Cold Metal.

Color Club Winter Affair (PR version)
Winter Affair is the second shade that differs at Sally's. This version of Winter Affair is a stunning, Red toned Plum shimmer. This polish has a lovely glowing quality and beautiful darkened edges on the nail. The formula on this color is great and does well in Two coats. The Sally's version of this color is a Warm, scented Golden metallic much like last year's Gingerbread Man. I must say that this version is SO much more unique and complex!

Color Club Snowflakes over Winter Affair
Snowflakes is a pretty flake top coat. The shift in these flakes is from Copper/Red/Green/ Gold. This particular flake is along the same lines as Essie Shine of the Times, Nubar 2010. You get the idea, not unique but always pretty and welcome!

Color Club Berry and Bright
Berry and Bright is a beautiful metallic Red. The interesting thing about this pretty color is all the micro Purple shimmer that you can catch glimpses of when on the nail. I actually really like this shade of Red and it is so perfect for the holidays. It's a warmer take on the "Holiday Red". The formula is great on this color and only needs Two coats.

Color Club Glitter Wonderland
Glitter Wonderland is a great Red toned, metallic Amethyst purple. The base on this one also has tons of contrasting Blue shimmer. Very pretty color and great for Purple lovers everywhere! This color also has a fab formula and does well in Two coats.

So to recap Gift of Sparkle and Winter Affair do have Two versions. One will be at Sally's and the other everywhere else CC is sold. I actually really like this small group of Holiday pretties. They are sparkly, vibrant and they all have great formulas!

Do you have a fave?

Twee & Honey All Hallows Collection- Halloween 2012

Good afternoon!!

I seriously cannot believe it is Monday already.... I also cannot believe October is almost over. Where has this year gone?! Today I have one last Halloween Collection to show ou guys. This set comes from indie brand Twee & Honey. There are a lot of pretties in this set so I'm gonne get straight to it!

Twee & Honey Hallow
Hallow is a dreamy, shimmering White. This is one of those "squishy" Whites a lot of us love so much. The shimmer in the polish is so dreamy and just pretty. When I think of what "pretty" should look like, this polish comes to mind. This shade does well in Three easy coats. The formula is nice and easy to work with. This does dry a bit dull so a top coat is a must.

Twee & Honey Viscera over Zoya Ziv
Viscera is a blend of small orange Squares, medium Orange Hexes, some White hexes and some sneaky hearts all suspended in a light Orange jelly base. For this look I layered Three thin coats of Viscera over Zoya Ziv for an interesting glowing finish.

Twee & Honey Holey Sheet over Hipster Zombie
Holey Sheet was an immediate stand-out for me.  This polish is made up of varying sizes of satiny White hexes suspended in a light, shimmery Seafoam base, there are also some opalescent flakies thrown in for good measure. This polish is ethereal and absolutely drool-worthy. I layered Two coats of Holey Sheet over Hipster Zombie.

Twee & Honey Tutu over O.P.I Mourning Glory
Tutu is a glitterbomb of epic proportions. This pretty is made up a small Magenta, light Pink and opalescent glitter base with accents of larger hexes in Magenta and light Pink. I layered Two coats of Tutu over my Black base.

Twee & Honey Ring Around the Rosey over Polished Components Thong
Ring Around the Rosey is a blend of Red, Black and larger Black hexes and opalescent bits suspended in a rosey, shimmery base. There is a lot of texture in this polish. I layered Two coats over my base color.

Twee & Honey Anathema
Anathema is a deep, deep Teal-ish green jelly. In most light it almost looks Black, but it is definitelly a deep Green. The formula on this one is a little tricky so a patient hand is needed and wait between coats. I used Three thin coats.

Twee & Honey Miasmasb over Anathema
Miasmas is a holographic top coat with a sprinkling of Multichromatic glitter. Miasmas dries a little matte so a top coat is a must.

And there you have Twee & Honey's Halloween collection. My faves would have to be Hallow, Holey Sheet and Tutu. I love T&H polishes. Her naming skills are freaking great and the lady behind the brand is a total sweetheart who knows how to bring the lols.

Which are your faves? Also, what will you be dressing as this Halloween?

(**T&H polishes provided for review**)
