It's my Birthday (and I'll slack if I want to) :D!

LOLOL!

So! It is indeed my birthday today. I am turning 26. I shall keep things short and sweet today, cuz what the title says lol. I decided to spend my day in Two of my favorite colors EVARRRR! I was having trouble deciding between A England Dragon and A England St. George. Then I had an "Old El Paso Moment" and decided, Why not both? lolol
I just did basic alternating nails in St.George (Holo Teal) and Dragon(Sage Green/Gold Holo). I also thought it would be nice to update you on the current status of my nubs. They are coming in nicely and the shapes are finally starting to look somewhat even. After I had the break on my Middle nail, my Index went too :(. So once again, I nubbed them all out. I'm glad they are at least pretty even on length now.

Also, I did some updates on my Let them have Polish You Tube channel last nite! Head on over there to see my makeup stash and storage!

I can't be too bummed out at my nubs when they look so pretty in these Two amazing polishes. A England shall get me through this growth time haha! I'm off to celebrate my 26th B-Day now!!!! I might take tomorrow off depending on how much fun I have today hahahha!

Lac Attack Magical Musings Collection: Part One

Good Morning!

Today I have some swatches of some of the shades Lac Attack and Glitta Gloves teamed up to create. These are shades from the Magical Musings Collection by Lac Attack. This collection was released during the Holidays but the colors are amazing and definitely magical!
If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen my ultra nub post. My nails are now shorter than they were in the Floam post from a few days ago :(. I don't mind nubs but they are WAY too short to photograph and need a few days so in the mean time I will share swatches I've stashed away.

Lac Attack Holidays in Hogsmeade over Aphrodite Lacquers Icing on the Cake over Sation Holiday Golightly
Got all that? lolol So the base shade is Holiday Golightly by Sation. I then did a layer of Aphrodite Lacquers in Icing on the Cake. I then followed that by a coat of Holidays in Hogsmeade. These were the nails I wore on X-mas Day. Holidays in Hogsmeade is an awesome mix of matte glitter particles in Green, White and Red suspended in a clear base.

Lac Attack Holidays in Hogsmeade over A England Holy Grail
I really fell on love with Holidays in Hogsmeade and I was finding excuses to wear it as often as possible during the Holidays. It looked AWESOME over A England Holy Grail 2.0.

Lac Attack Weasley's Wizard Wheezies over Bettina Peaches 'n' Creme
Weasley's Wizard Wheezies is a vibrant blend of Orange and Marigold Yellow Hexes and Bars in a clear base. The girls did an awesome job with this polish and the inspiration behind it. I will be showing a re-swatch of this soon. I like this layering and it looked great in person but I want to do a combo where you can get a better idea of all the textures and shades in WWW. It is such a FUN glitter topper.

Lac Attack Death Day Party over LVX Prussian
Death Day Party is a super interesting mix of very fine glassflecks that shift from dark Chocolate to Pink to Copper and Orange- Violet. It is pretty complex and different. I had a hard time figuring out what to layer this over because I had never seen a polish like this one. The second I tried it over Prussian I fell in love.

Lac Attack Felix Felicis over Bettina Gabrielle
This is a "bonus" swatch haha. This beauty was one of my Top Ten Handmade polishes of 2012.
I will see you guys tomorrow with more stashy swatches. The second my nails are at an acceptable length I will pick back up with swatching all the new collections and busting out some nail art!!

Most of these are currently sold out on the Lac Attack Site but you can follow her on Facebook and Twitter to keep up with shop re-stocks! I will be sharing the rest of the collection soon!

See you guys soon!

Random Saturday Spam!

Happy caturday my lovelies!

So today continues my random spammy series. I am cleaning out folders like a fool! I know it might sound crazy or weird lol, but this is what I need to do to get myself back in gear. I have a ridiculous amount of goals for this new year. There are many -a- things I want to get accomplished. I am SOO excited!! Many good things are coming!
Anyhow! Saturday Spam after the jump!
Illamasqua Load
The Two year lemming lol. I wanted this color the second it came out back in 2012. Yes, I wanted it just for the name. Yes, I'm 13 in my head sometimes. That said, Load is really a beautiful color. This pale, milky Yellow creme has a really nice formula. Shown here are Three thin coats. A huge thank you to my lovely Erica for swapping me this baby and killing my Two year lemming! I love Illamasqua's Load. And yes, I love being able to say that to anyone who asks haha.

Picture Polish Mardi Gras over Illamasqua Load
Mardi Gras is a really cute blend of Small hexes in Gold, Magenta and Aqua and small Silver and Aqua glitter suspended in a clear base. For my layering I only did one coat of Mardi Gras. As you can see this glitter has an awesome spread, very easy to work with. I actually wore this look for like Four days (which in LTHP time is an eternity).

Ozotic Beam 906 over Chick Nail Polish Rocker Chick
Beam 905 is a beautiful layering, multi-chromatic glassfleck. I layered over a dark Plum so it brought out some great Violet-Burple- Pink flashes in Ozotic 905. This is a very dense glassfleck and One coat over any base polish will create an amazing effect.

A England Holy Grail 2.0 and A England Ophelia
This was a random quick look I did. I cannot get enough of the new Holy Grail. I never got the original, I know they are both beautiful though! Both of these colors have an outstanding formula, they could practically be One coat.

A England Holy Grail
Just bask in this glorious shade of darkened Gold metallic amazingness. I can't even... Just too pretty and prefect!

A England Dorian Gray
This polish is pretty much the most perfect shade of dark Pewter. IDK how A England managed to make a polish with this finish and it not being brushstrokey! Mind=BLOWN! The shimmer in this color is something so unique and beautiful. I just love it. This shade has a great formula and could practically be One coat, I did Two.

Thanks for stopping by today my loves!! I will see you tomorrow with, you guessed it, MOAR SPAM!!!!

Orly Sashay my Way over Nicole by O.P.I Iris my Case

Orly Spazzmatic over Nicole by O.P.I Just bust a Mauve

A England Bridal Veil

Hot Ticket by The Balm That's Red-iculous

Zoya Cho

Julie G Nail Color in 9 to 5
This particular shade, while totally awesome flattering and beautiful, has a horrific formula. Three patient coats shown here. This color is slightly neon and the formula can be draggy, streaky and patchy at points.

Julie G Nail Color in Oh Em Gee!

Julie G Nail Color in My Private Palace

Julie G Nail Color in Royal Rebel

Revlon Sheer Seafoam
This is a water-finish polish. I used Four coats. I've read some people add drops of creme polishes to make it more opaque but I actually like this this way.

Del Sol Foxy (inside)
 Del Sol Foxy (Sunlight)

Orly Be Brave

Bettina Camilla

Chameleon Fandango over Color Club Muse-ical
Thanks for stopping by today loves!!! If you have any questions about these shades feel free to ask! I will have a few more spammy posts and then hopefully I will be caught up soon! I have many exciting things planned for 2013!!

31 Day Challenge 2012! Day 26: Inspired by a Pattern

Hello and happy Thursday!!

Today Sam, Rie(she is a little behind because she actually has a life, unlike me lolol) and I are taking on the 26th day in the 31 Day Challenge. The prompt for today is to be inspired by a pattern. That is another of those tasks that I take as "do what ever the hell you want" lol. "Inspired by a Pattern" leaves things pretty open for interpretation haha. So I went with a Steampunk inspired pattern/ look using one of my most favorite stamps and a STUNNING A England polish.
My base is Two effortless coats of the stunning beauty that is A England Beauty Never Fails. This polish should be called Adina Never Fails because she just can't make an ugly polish!! I will go on in length about the polish itself later on. I have a good A England post coming your way soon. For the stamp I went to one of my most favorite stamps ever. This design comes from the first Bundle Monster set, plate BM20. The stamping polish is China Glaze Passion.
For how simple these are, I am fairly deep in love with them. Sometimes less really is more. The combination of the metallic stamping an the gorgeous glowing base is just perfect! There is something so classy, yet ornate about this particular stamp. I LOVE it!!

Now don't forget to stop by my challenge partners Rie and Sam's to see their Pattern inspired looks for day 26!

When Cristina invited me to do a guest post for her blog I couldn't believe it,  I love her blog, she's so talented and has a great imagination doing nail art.
I love Cristina, so much, we started blogging almost at the same time and we were sharing our passion for nails since we met online  two years ago.
Today I have for you this manicure, I used a-england Perceval, a gorgeous metallic red. I applied two easy coats. On my ring finger I use a black creme nail polish and applied red hex glitter over the entire nail.
I stamped the rest of my nails using an image for a plate QA16 I got from eBay.

I hope you all enjoy what I did for you,
Cristina, I wish you the best, feel better soon!
Love,
Carolina

A England The Legend Collection Swatches

Sooo....

Some time ago I posted my Three picks from A England's The Legend Collection. Well when Adina, who is the mastermind behind A England, offered to share the rest of her amazing collection with me I was over the moon and beyond thrilled. Like I said in my original "The Legend" post... This is the collection I've been waiting for to blow me away completely.... I missed out on China Glaze's OMG collection and I was hoping someone else would come along and give us some amazing holographic polishes. A England was listening and she made a collection of Seven amazing polishes, Six of which are holographic finish with some slight duochromes and an amazing Blue shimmer. So, yeah.. Not only did she makes Six amazing holos, some of them have a slight duochrome going on! I'll shut up now and show you pics!
To see tons of pics keep on reading after the jump!

A England Princess Tears
Princess Tears is a lovely Lavender linear holographic polish. The holographic finish in this beauty is very strong and very linear. Now I don't know if it was my eyes playing tricks on me but I could see some hints of a very light Green duochrome along with the Lavender base. Just stunning. Amazing Two coat formula.

A England Ascalon
Hello deep Gunmetal linear holographic... But what! There's more! Oh yeah... How do you make a Deep Grey holo better? You add a flash of Violet duochrome in there! The duochrome in this color is very strong as well as the linear holo finish. This color has an amazing formula as well. I did Two coats but I could have gotten away with one coat.

A England Bridal Veil
Bridal Veil is a very deep and saturated Black scattered holo polish. The holographic in Bridal Veil is more of a shimmer than a linear finish. This is a great shade and there is something dark and sexy about it. Amazing Two coat formula.

A England Order of the Garter
This one is the shimmer in the collection. It is a very fine micro shimmer that builds up to opacity in Three thin and effortless coats. This color has a lot of depth and it is so very vibrant and just beautiful and perfect for the coming Summer months.

These following Three pretties I've posted about previously so I will not be going into detail about each color individually but see [THIS] post if you want details :D.

A England Dragon

A England Princess Sabra (Tristam Eyes)

A England St. George
And there you have one of the best collections of 2012 so far. I cannot wait to see what else the beautiful and talented Adina from A England has in store for us. I mean seriouslu, just look at this collection! How could you not get excited about her future creations? My personal challenge to you Adina, if you are reading, I'd love to see what you can do with some glitters and Flakies :D. You've already proven your mastering of the Holographic arts. Now I wanna see you go Glitteratti! <3!!

Thoughts?
