Cirque Objet d'Art Collection Swatches: Part Two

Good morning and happy humpday!!

A total quick, random note: I've decided to take a hint from miss Sarah of Chalkboard Nails and created a dedictaed page for Press Releases and general beauty news. You can visit by clicking [HERE]. I have also created a tab at the top of this blog: "Press Releases" clicking on this tab will re-direct you to the press release page :D. This way those of you  interested in what is coming out don't miss out on the news. And those of you who are not don't have to worry about news cluttering up the pretty nail colors and art ♥. LTHP Press Releases is set up as a "blog" so you can subscribe as you would this one if you are interested in press releases and general beauty industry news.

SOO!!! Today I am sharing my swatches of the Second half of the Objet d'Art Collection by Cirque. You can see swatches of the first half of the collection [HERE]. I am so in love with every single polish in this portion I am sharing today. There is something about Cirque nail polishes that is just so classy, yet different and just plain beautiful.
To see closeup swatches of these beauties just continue reading ♥.

Cirque Planet Caravan
Planet Caravan is a Blackened jelly base packed full of multichromatic glassflecks. The shimmer in this beauty is like burning embers and shift from Purple to Copper and Green. The formula on this beauty is easy to work with and does great in Two coats. Planet Caravan was one of my favorites from the entire collection.

Cirque Book of Shadows
Book of Shadows is a very shimmery, Pewter foil. This shade is a little sheer but it builds up to opacity in Three coats.

Cirque for Mei Mei's Signatures Fleur est Belle
This shade is a Mei Mei's Signatures exclusive. Fleur est Belle is a soft Pink, shimmery jelly base. Packed in the beautiful base are White and bright Gold Hexes as well as smaller light Green and Pink hexes and squares. Fleur est Belle is a real beauty. I love that even though it is quite chunky, there is something delicate, ethereal and feminine about it. The formula on this polish is a little tricky as it is so chunky. The good thing is that there is no fishing required, just slight manipulation of the pieces. I used Three thin coats for my swatch.

Cirque Cape Liz
Cape Liz is a muted, light Blue creme packed full of twinkling Pink, Silver and Blue glassfleck shimmer.  While this color is absolutely dreamy, the formula gave me so trouble. The issue I kept running into was some bad patchiness and dragging. I needed Four coats to get it to look even and fully opaque. At least the color payoff is worth the formula troubles.

Cirque Cypress
Cypress is a beautifully unique Copper holographic shade. The formula on this shade is a little sheer but buildable. I used Three thin coats for my swatch.

O.P.I Lonesome George
Lonesome George is an amazing Emerald Green holographic shade. I am pretty much in love with this beauty. The formula on this shade is fantastic. I used Three thin coats for full coverage.
I have to say that I am just so impressed with Cirque's creations. I can't wait to see what else they have up their sleeves for 2013. My faves from this group would have to be Planet Caravan, Lonesome George and Fleur est Belle.

The Objet d'Art Collection is available now from Cirque's shop as well as many other e-tailers. Do you have any favorites in this group?

Cirque Objet d'Art Collection: Part One

Good Morning loves!

Today I have the first part of the Cirque Objet d'Art Collection. You may remember seeing a few Cirque polishes in my top picks for 2012. I was in love with Cirque from the get-go. I love their unique shades and their classy packaging. I just love everything about this brand and their campaigns. They are handmade polishes: All grown up.
To see close-up shots of these beauties just keep on reading!
Cirque Lapis
Lapis is a very dense blend of fine Sapphire blue glitter suspended in a clear base. This polish very very packed with glitter and it does not need "underwear" (a base color). Lapis gave me no application issues and the glitter spread is fantastic. I used Three thin coats for full opacity.

Cirque Curiosity
Curiosity is an insanely gorgeous shade of tomato Red glassfleck. To add to the perfection there is the most beautiful Gold duochrome that peeks through the Red base. The formula on Curiosity is nothing short of perfect and does great in Three thin coats.

Cirque Galinda over Cirque Curiosity
Galinda is a snowy blend of opalescent and White micro particles interrupted by White hexes. Galinda is definitely magical, ethereal and just plain pretty! For this look I used one thin coat of Galinda over my glowing Red base. I wore this during the Holidays and I did not want to take it off!

Cirque Hellebore over Cirque Lonesome George
Hellebore is the most amazing mix of fine Sage glitter. This is another super dense blend and does not require undies, for my swatch I did layer it. The base color is Cirque's Lonesome George. So, when I took a closer look at Hellebore my eye kept picking up this beautiful, light Violet sparkle coming through the Green base (see Ring fingernail). I only needed One coat of Hellebore over my base to achieve this look.

Cirque XX over A England Dorian Gray
XX is an amazing blend of Hexes, Diamonds and Squares in varying sizes. All of the particles are prismatic. Some of the particles lean on the Coppery- Pink side and some lean on the Teal- Aqua side. XX is just amazing, like nothing I've never seen before. It could be this combination, it could be XX, I never wanted to take this off either.. I'm starting to see a trend here. XX is easy to work with and no fishing is required.

Cirque Au over Cirque Lapis
Au is a 23k Gold flake. I only have one other Gold flake I can compare this to and that is Zoya's Gilty. They are different tones of Gold. Au is just a little brighter than Gilty. Au is also very packed with flakes. For this look I did use Two "dabs" of Au because I was actually wearing it for a few days :D.

That will do it for Part One of my Objet D'Art Collection swatches. You can head over to Cirque's Shop to get your hands on these beauties! I can't really pick favorites because these are all so beautiful and different. I'd have to say I was particularly blown away by XX, Hellebore and Curiosity.

Thanks for stopping by today my loves!! Which are your picks?

Good morning my lovelies!!

Today I have a couple of swatches of some beautiful layering glitters by Aphrodite Lacquers. I really love Aphrodite Lacquers creations. They are all very unique but in terms of collections they are very cohesive. I also love that many of her creations do not require undie colors. These two glitters I'm showing today are meant for layering but they are AMAZING!

Aphrodite Lacquers in Peacock Earrings over Color Club Port-folio
This combo was pretty much meant to be!! Peacok Earrings is a great blend of Black and Satiny White Squares in varying sizes. There are also small Teal and Silver prismatic hexes suspended in a micro shimmery base. This is just an awesome, fun layering polish. I really like the interesting mix of shapes and colors in this pretty.

Aphrodite Lacuqers VIP Room over Nicole by O.P.I Feeling Grape-ful
VIP Room is a beautiful mix of opalescent squares and micro opalescent shimmer. This polish is just beautiful, ethereal, angelic? I layered it over many colors, but when I saw it over this medium Purple, I knew this was the combo I would show you guys.

It's my Birthday (and I'll slack if I want to) :D!

LOLOL!

So! It is indeed my birthday today. I am turning 26. I shall keep things short and sweet today, cuz what the title says lol. I decided to spend my day in Two of my favorite colors EVARRRR! I was having trouble deciding between A England Dragon and A England St. George. Then I had an "Old El Paso Moment" and decided, Why not both? lolol
I just did basic alternating nails in St.George (Holo Teal) and Dragon(Sage Green/Gold Holo). I also thought it would be nice to update you on the current status of my nubs. They are coming in nicely and the shapes are finally starting to look somewhat even. After I had the break on my Middle nail, my Index went too :(. So once again, I nubbed them all out. I'm glad they are at least pretty even on length now.

Also, I did some updates on my Let them have Polish You Tube channel last nite! Head on over there to see my makeup stash and storage!

I can't be too bummed out at my nubs when they look so pretty in these Two amazing polishes. A England shall get me through this growth time haha! I'm off to celebrate my 26th B-Day now!!!! I might take tomorrow off depending on how much fun I have today hahahha!

Color Club In True Fashion Fall 2012 Collection Swatches

Good evening!!

Are you guys all prepped for Thanksgiving? Well, those of you celebrating tomorrow :). My mom and I are cooking Thankgsgiving dinner this year. I am pretty excited as I love Thanksgiving and all the yummy food!
So, I am pretty ashamed it took me this long to get through these swatches of the Color Club In True Fashion collection for Fall 2012. But hey! Better late than never right?! This will be my last post until Sunday, maybe Monday. I want to enjoy the Holiday and maybe even partake in some Black Friday madness... !!! So to those of you celebrating tomorrow; Happy Thanksgiving and good luck to those of you shopping on Black Friday!
To see swatches of these colors just continue reading!
Color Club In the Limelight
In the Limelight is, without a doubt, my favorite shade in this entire 12-piece collection. This is a very vivid shade of Periwinkle creme. This is an unique color in my collection which is nice. I'm just really in love with this particular shade of Blue-Purple-Periwinkle. The bummer? The formula on this color is pretty terrible. The main things I found problematic is that this shade has a thin, sheer formula. It likes to streak, drag and leave bald patches. The key is to keep a light hand and be patient. I used Three coats. Luckily, it dries fast! The trouble with the formula is so worth the color payoff for me!

Color Club By Design
By Design is a nice, classic Fall Plum Purple creme. This is a nice shade but it is not particularly unique. This shade has a nice Two-coat formula.

Color Club Model Behavior
Model Behavior is an outstanding shade of shimmering metallic Copper. Think of a bright, shiny new Penny and you get Model Behavior. I love that the formula on this color is not a brushtrokey mess, you can thank all that beautiful micro shimmer. This color applies very easily and does great in Two coats.

Color Club Muse-ical
Muse-ical is a very dark, Graphite Grey creme. Once again, nothing very unique but still a nice classic for Fall. This color has a great formula and could have almost been One coat, I did Two.

Color Club Look Book
Look Book is a Coraly Red creme. I had trouble photographing this color as my camera wants to turn anything even remotely Coral into bright Orange :(. This is a nice cheery Red for Fall. Look Book has a great Two coat formula.

Color Club Style Icon
Style Icon is a great dark, vampy Red creme, very traditional for Fall and the holiday season. The formula on this shade is very nice and I used Two coats.

Color Club Fashion Moment
Fashion Moment is a Blackened Plum creme-jelly. This color looks Black in most lighting but once in a while you can catch the Purple glimpses. If you are into Vampy-Fall, this is your color. Fashion Moment has a nice Three- coat formula.

Color Club Editorial
Editorial is in the Peridot green family. This color leans more on the Green side so I actually kind of like it. Editorial has a very shimmery formula, and unlike many other Peridot color, this one is not brushstrokey. I used Three thin coats for this swatch.

Color Club First Looks
First Looks is a beautiful Blackened Teal shimmer. This color was also an immediate standout for me. The formula on this color is crazy saturated and pigmented. I could have done with one coat, but I did Two.

Color Club Personal Stylist
Personal Stylist has the same shimmering qualities that Editorial does. This polish is an electric shade of glowing Cobalt Blue. I believe I used Three coats for this swatch. I really enjoyed this shade as well.

Color Club Show Time
Show Time is a deep graphite creamy base with tons of Silver micro shimmer. This polish has a great formula and does great in Two coats. I really liked this shade a lot more on the nail than in the bottle.

Color Club Port-Folio
Port-Folio is an amazing Violet-Green duochrome shimmer. This polish's color shift is very obvious and can be seen in any type of light. This is a crazy awesome polish and the formula on it is great! I believe I used Three coats for my swatch.

This is a nice collection, full of great classic colors as well as some beautiful stand-out shades. This collection is already available from many e-tailers!

Which are your faves?

Sally Hansen Lustre Shine - Lava

Finally some pictures of the other Lustre Shine I bought recently. Pictured is 3 thin coats. It is quite sheer, my nails are short now, but if they were much longer I would probably choose to layer it over another polish. There is visible nail line.

The color shifts from reddish pink to bright orange. Lots of glassflecks :)

Here is an underwater shot to try and better show the color shift. Too bad it's blurry and the water has bubbles! Lol. So sorry!
