Mint & Coral Combo

I can't seem to get tired of mint and coral as a color combo. For this look I threw in some lilac and black for a funky striped skittle mix.
I used China Glaze For Audrey, Rimmel I Lilac You, & the coral is a franken I made up. For the accent nail I used a base of white polish and then striping tape to mask off the stripes of varying widths. The black polish was just my Sinful Colors black striper polish.

Rimmel 60 Seconds - Blue Eyed Girl

I found a full display of new Rimmel 60 Seconds polishes at my local Walmart. 8mL of polish for $1.50, I couldn't pass it up. And it's a blue polish! My favorite!!! A bold navy blue creme. Heavenly.

Pictured is 2 easy coats! Gorgeous!!!!!

Floral Skittles

I wanted to do another floral design, but this time I mixed it up with a skittle variation.

I used a lot of different polishes:
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Cafe Au Lait
Lime Crime Milky Ways
Orly Gumdrop
Rimmel I Lilac You
China Glaze Spontaneous & Sunday Funday

Random Purple

I've still been lacking in the nail art department lately.... Just not a lot of inspiration floating around at my house these days. I've got a couple of swatches and product reviews coming up, so maybe that can distract me enough to climb out of my creative block.

For this random look I did the other day I used the following things:
I did a gradient with Rimmel I Lilac You, Zoya Malia & Mira. Then stamped Konad m36 with China Glaze Millennium. Then one coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust for some tiny holographic glitters.

Rimmel 60 Seconds - I Lilac You

I've seen these Rimmel polishes on the blogs of international ladies, but I've only ever seen the square boring Rimmel's for sale here in my stores. I recently saw a new revamped display at my local Wal-mart with these! And they were only $1.50. So I browsed the colors and picked this light lavender.

The application was a breeze, and the brush is a medium sized paddle brush with the rounded edges to fit your cuticle perfectly. It's  not as large as the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure or Insta Dri's though.
Pictured is 2 regular coats. It covered and leveled so easily.

I guess the claim is that it's dry in 60 seconds? I felt it dried fast, but not like lightning speed or anything. I did use 1 coat of topcoat in these pictures.

We Interrupt this Zoya Week to Bring You... #Kidrobot Misko Owl Inspired Nail Art

Whooo... That was a long title...

So, if you follow me on instagram you may have noticed my budding obsession with the Kidrobot Misko Owl series. [HERE] is a post that is very informative about what these cute little fellas are. Long story short, they are collctable "toys" design by artists that team up with Kidrobot to be relesead in series. They come in blind boxes so you don't know which owl you will get. Kidrobot has all kinds of crazy series and amazing artist collabs but this is the first time that I absolutely HAD TO HAVE every toy released in the series. The artist who designed these series is Nathan Jurevicius.
Needless to say I had to find a way to get these little guys on my nails somehow...
This was all done by free hand no tape involved, which is why my lines are not perfect. For the cute little eyes I used the ruffle mani technique but in a circular motion. This was really easy to do but a little time consuming as I had to wait before placing my next row of dots when working on the eyes.

The colors used were: Bettina Sunrise and Aqua, Rimmel Grey Matter, Milani White on the Spot and Black Swift, O.P.I Off with her Red!, PIXI Paradise Pink and China Glaze Fuchsia Fanatic.

Here is a picture of the Four Misko Owls I have so far. Four more to go!
I hope you guys enjoyed this quickie look! I had so much fun working on these nails, mostly because I love the inspiration behind them so much. And to think, my first owl was a total impulse buy during a Books-a-Million checkout lol. Misko owls are just cute little collectibles. I have dubbed my little owls "The Guardians of The Polish Room" since that's where they hang out.

Thanks for stopping by!
