Scofflaw Summer Colors Swatches and Review

(**Press Samples**)
Hello and happy Monday darlings!

Today I have a few swatches of a, new-to me, handmade nail polish line. I know Scofflaw has been around for sometime, and I had bee eyeing them with a vengeance haha. The only pretty I owned by this brand was in the form of a nail polish pendant of David Bowie's Bulge that was made for me by the lovely BeadsInk. So, when Finch got in touch with me about featuring her new Summer shades I jumped at the chance.
scofflaw summer photo Scofflaw_zps98de3158.jpg
All of these polishes are so complex, yet beautifully executed. I am so beyond impressed with her unique blends and beautiful use of shimmering bases. All four of these shades had fantastic formulations as well. All swatches are shown with a top coat.

Scofflaw Little Edie in the Grey Gardens
Scofflaw Little Edie in the Grey Gardens photo DSCN5864_zps6edbb1cc.jpg
First I have to talk about how much I love the name/ inspiration behind this color. For some time I was fairly fascinated by the story behind "Grey Gardens". Something about this polish really does capture the essence of Little Edie for me. Little Edie in the Grey Gardens is an ethereal blend of Pastel Yellow hexes, Coral hexes, Lavender squares and small Golden glitter all suspended in a very light, squishy Grey base. The kicker is the fantastic Yellowy-Green shimmer in the grey base. I love how delicate, yet unique and eye catching this blend is. I used Three easy coats of color for my swatch.

Scofflaw Paranoid Android
Scofflaw Paranoid Android photo DSCN5854_zpsb727d7d1.jpg
So.Much.WIN!!! Paranoid Android is a chunky blend of Black, Red, Silver and *I think* Plum hexes suspended in a shimmery, squishy Sky Blue base. There are also some smaller Blue glitters that really add some serious twinkle to this pretty. I love, love the blend of colors here. The Red particles really bring this color to life for me. I used Three thin coats of color for my swatch.

Scofflaw Wyld Stallyns
Scofflaw Wyld Stallyns photo DSCN5839_zps6b2e43fb.jpg
Wyld Stallyns is a shimmering Red-toned Purple base accented with hot Pink squares and Plum hexes as well as small Golden twinkling glitter. I think I also picked out some Blue particles and larger Golden hexes. This shade had the "sheerest" formula of the bunch as the base is an actual shimmer and not a squishy creme. I used Three thin coats of color.

Scofflaw Electric Salamander
Scofflaw Electric Salamander photo DSCN5809_zpscc213dbb.jpg
Electric Salamander is an AMAAAAZING mix of Blue and Green hexes. There is a mix of Sparkling and matte glitters here that is just perfection. The base color is an interesting, shimmery White-Grey. I just love this color, the Blue hexes are perfect in this base color. The application on this shade is very good, I used Three coats of color.

Scofflaw is available from Shop Llarowe as well as Etsy. These babies were just released a few weeks ago. I am so seriously impressed with everything about this polishes. The only one I was not crazy about was Wyld Stallyns, but that is a personal preference thing. The other Three shades have completely won me over.

I also want to take a quick second to thank the amazing Nikkie of Nikkietutorials on Youtube for mentioning LTHP on her June faves video. I'm still in shock and just so ecstatic and fangirly. I am a huge fan of Nikkie's work and her personality. She has accomplished so much at such a young age, makes me feel lazy haa! She has also lit a fire under my butt to finally write out a post on my nail care routine. Which I will certainly be doing soon. THANK YOU NIKKIE!!! It seriously means to world to me ♥.

Have you had a chance to try Scofflaw's creations yet? Which are your favorites? From the ones I just went over today, I cannot pick a fave. I am in love with them for different reasons. They are all just so unique and beautifully made.

Pink-ish Wednesday! Ombre Fun with Inglot Colour Play Nail Polishes

(**Inglot Press Samples**)
Happy Humpday!!

It's only been about an Eon since I've done a Pink Wednesday... So, here is a Pink Wednesday post ♥. A few weeks back I received the Inglot  Colour Play pastel range. These babies are perfect for ombre manis, they really take the guess work out of picking your shades. For this look, I also went back to my roots by doing some stamping. I used my Pueen Love Elements nail stamping plate set.
Inglot Ombre Stamped with Pueen photo DSCN5568_zps002535d4.jpg
This look features Inglot Shades, from Thumb to Pinkie: 388, 387, 386, 385 and 384. For the stamping I used Konad Black Special polish and Pueen stamping plates Pueen 32 on my Middle and Ring finger and Thumb. For my Pinkie and Index nails I used Pueen 28. To finish my nails off I did a coat of Seche Vite followed by a light coat of IN Northern Lights.

Here are my base colors before stamping and top coating. 388 is a clean, light Lilac purple creme. 387 is an aweome Blue toned bubblegum Pink creme. 386 is a muted Violet- Mauve creme. 385 is a light Pink- toned Mauve creme. 384 is a beautiful muted Coral creme. All of these polishes have a slight flash of smooth complimenting shimmer. You can see the Golden shimmer in the bottle photo above. That said, the shimmer does not really translate to the nails, but it does aid in appication. All of these were really easy to apply and all did well in Three, thin and easy coats.
Inglot Ombre photo DSCN5542_zps316d620a.jpg
I miss stamping so much. But at the same time, I'm pretty excited because I have all of these awesome Pueen plates that I have not really gotten to play with yet. So I have those to look forward to :D. I have been terrible about keeping up with plates honestly, if you guys know of any sets I may have missed out on, or new brands, share them in the comments!!

So, I am LOOOVING these Inglot Colour Play range. I love them so much, they have even earned a spot on my wall racks. These are great for nail art of all kinds and I just love the formulas and beautiful shades.

Thanks for stopping by darlings!

Summer Ready Swatch Spam!

(**Press Sample**)
Hello my loves!

Today I have some swatch-y spam for you guys. I've had these pics sitting in my folders for some time now.... So I figured, why not do a spam post?
Summer Swatch Spam photo FridaySpam_zps91f66cc1.jpg
These shades are all kinda screaming Summer to me. What are some of your favorite Summer shades? Or do you not really follow seasonal colors? Me, I kinda wear what I want, when I want. But I do tend to gravitate to Spring and Summer shades because they are always so bright and happy.
All of these swatches are shown with a top coat.

LVX Nail Color in Mynt
LVX Mynt photo DSCN5978_zps1782230b.jpg
Mynt by LVX is a lovely, clean Mint creme. I found the formula on this shade to be AMAZING. Normally, these types of Pastel-ish, minty greens can be a pain in the butt to apply. That was not the case with this beauty. I did Three easy coats of Mynt for my swatch.

LVX Nail Color in Deco
LVX Deco photo DSCN5940_zps747e371d.jpg
Deco is an amazing shade of Melon-y Coral creme. I knew I would love this shade the second I unpacked it! I am a sucker for these types of colors. This shade is insanely flattering and easy to wear. I used Three thin and easy coats of Deco for my swatch.

Zoya Gaia
Zoya Gaia photo DSCN5881_zps4a59189f.jpg
Gaia, Gaia, Gaia... This color.. Ok.. So this color is BEAUTIFUL, stunning really... A Pearly, shimmering White with the most perfect Golden shimmer running though it. Bridal perfection... That said, this color has a horrid formula! I found it to be patchy and uneven.. I needed Four thin coats to get it to look even and opaque. Maybe layering it could remedy that problem, but it could also ruin that squishy effect... I suppose the color payoff is definitely worth the work I put into the application though.

Essie Tart Deco
Essie Tart Deco photo DSCN5498_zpsaa6841cb.jpg
Tart Deco is a vivid, hot Melon-Coral shade. This shade is a more vibrant cousin to LVX Deco. The formula on this color is a little patchy, but not problematic. I used Three thin coats for my swatch.

Zoya Sari
Zoya Sari photo DSCN5471_zps6d38146a.jpg
Sari is a lovely, nude Pink jelly. Colors like these are great for French manis, or just to add a healthy glow to a nakey-look. I used Three thin coats for my swatch.

LVX Nail Color in Indigo Bleu
LVX Indigo Bleu photo DSCN4846_zps39a2df1e.jpg
Indigo Bleu is a deep Violet-Blue creme. This shade is intenesely pigmented and very easy to apply. I could have almost done with one coat. I used Two thin coats for my swatch.

Zoya Josie and Zoya Destiny
Zoya Josie and Destiny photo DSCN4905_zps9f33f6f8.jpg
Zoya Josie is a beautiful Grass Green creme that applies like a dream. I used Two easy coats of Josie. For this look I did an accent in Zoya PixieDust in Destiny. Destiny is a hot Coral texture laced with strong Golden shimmer. I used Three thin coats of Destiny.

Any faves in this bunch? I am really in love with Gaia. I hate the formula on that color, but my gosh it is just beautiful! I also really loved Mynt and Deco by LVX. Though I must admit, this Summer has turned into the "Summer of the Textures" for me. I've been wearing Textures non-stop since they all started coming out!

What have you been wearing lately?

Cult Nails Dance all Night Collection Swatches

(**Press Sample**)
Hello everyone!

Today I have swatches of the newest collection by my beloved Cult Nails. This is the Dance all Night collection. This release consists of Three lovely creme polishes, and Three fantastic layering glitterbombs. If you are not a part of "The Cult" yet, this is the perfect collection to start off with as it showcases the strengths of Cult Nails so well. There is a little bit of everything for everyone.
CN Dance all Night photo CultNails2_zpsb9713f69.jpg
Even though the collection is made up of "complimenting" pairs, I decided to do some more unexpected layering combinations to really make each color pop.

Cult Nails Center of Attention over Cult Nails Nakizzle's Shizzle
Cult Nails Center of Attention photo DSCN5749_zps037a879e.jpg
Center of Attention is a magnificent blend of vivid Pink-Rose sparkling hexes in varying sizes accented by a heavy dose of smaller iridescent sparkles in a clear base. The slightly larger hexes have a very minimal curve to them, but they all lay flat. This polish is like a bouquet of sparkling flowers in a bottle. Formula-wise, it is a little thick, I did not find this to be a problem. I used One coat of Center of Attention over my sky Blue base. I could wear this layering combination for ages.

Cult Nails Nakizzle's Shizzle
Cult Nails Nakizzle's Shizzle photo DSCN5727_zpsb01af039.jpg
Nakizzle's Shizzle is an amazing shade of vivid, clean Sky Blue creme. This is your quintessential shade of Sky Blue. This shade is beautifully bright, yet flattering and completely wearable. The formula on this color is Cult Nails at their finest; so glossy, even and smooth. This color practically applies itself, I used Two effortless coats for my swatch.

Cult Nails Walk of Shame over Cult Nails Love at First Sight
Cult Nails Walk of Shame photo DSCN5700_zps03cf2ccb.jpg
Walk of Shame is a glitterbomb of most epic proportions. This glitter mixes bright, vivid Gold hexes in varying sizes and small Prismatic glitter in a clear base. This photo does not do this amazing, blingy topper justice. I tried taking photos in the Sun, and my camera freaked at the amount of bling. The formula on this glitter is also a bit thick, but very manageable. I used One coat of glitter over my Orchid- Violet base.

Cult Nails Love at First Sight
Cult Nails Love at First sight photo DSCN5650_zpsb97ebfb9.jpg
Love at First Sight is another fantastic representation of what Cult Nails does best, AMAZIIIIIINGG cremes! This shade is a beautiful, feminine tone of light, Pink toned Purple. When I think of Orchid- Violet, this is what comes to mind. This color has an amazing glossy and smooth formula that does great in Two coats.

Cult Nails Dance all Night over Cult Nails Faded
Cult Nails Dance all Night photo DSCN5622_zps73ecd3b3.jpg
Dance all Night is the namesake of the collection, and quite a beautiful topper. This glitter topper mixes Blue, Green and Iridescent hexes partnered with smaller iridescent sparkle in a clear base. The larger hexes in this polish also have a slight curve to them, but they do lay flat. The formula on this polish is also a bit thick, but as with the rest, I did not find this to be a problem. How awesome does this look over Faded?!

Cult Nails Faded
Cult Nails Faded photo DSCN5595_zps80e6845d.jpg
Faded is a very faint, clean shade of Grey creme. This lovely shade of Dove Grey has an impressive formula. I really love this shade and I can see myself reaching for it a lot in the coming months. I used Two uber easy coats for my swatch.

These shades are fantastic and I can't even pick favorites. They all so beautifully executed, I really could not pick a favorite. These areso flattering, easy to wear and just plain FUN! Which are you loving?

PS: I want to thank you all for your support on the matter of Muffin. It really means a lot to Daniel and I.

LTHP Quickies! Milani Color Statement Lipsticks in Plums & Berries- Swatches

(*The products in this post were provided for review consideration.*)
Happy Friday!!

I have (literally) an UBER stiff neck today. Holy shiz guys. I'm like Robocop up in this bish.. Cannot turn my head in any direction or tilt it up or down.... I really think we need a new bed haha... So now that you guys are all caught up on that.... How 'bout some beautiful lipsticks?!!! I give you, Milani's Color Statement Lipsticks in the Plums and Berries Family.
MMMM!!!! Purple!! Much like the Pink family, I love every single one of these shades! There is a wonderful range of shades and finishes in this family.

And for some quick arm swatchies:
Raspberry RUSH: (whoopsss!!) This shade is a vibrant shade of Metallic Fuchsia.
Plumrose: A classic shade of "rosey plum" creme. This is a great every-day shade.
Uptown Mauve: A beautiful shade of vivid Mauve creme. This shade leans more on the Berry side of Mauve. Super flattering color.
Violet Volt: GAHHHH!! An awesome shade of Blue toned, light metallic Purple.
Chilled Brandy: A shimmering shade of light Plum with slight brown undertones.
Sangria: A delicious matte, light burgundy shade.
Black Cherry: A, very shiny, shade of deep Burgundy. This one is listed as a creme finish, but I would say it's more like vinyl.

With this color family they also released Two more lip liners. Once again, these have amazing pigmentation and a perfect creamy formula.

And now for some lip swatches of the Plum and Berry shades I've worn so far. I love these lipsticks so much. They have a great feel on the lips and the scent is light and does not linger. The wear on these colors is extremely impressive. I am wearing a liner on all of these. For the most part I used the Fuchsia lip liner.
Raspberry Rush

Uptown Mauve

Violet Volt

Sangria

And these two are actually from the Red and Oranges family. I realized I never showed you guys lip swatches of these. My camera has a hard time with Red tones and capturing the subtle difference in colors.
Ruby Valentine (Sultry, blue based, deep Red)

High Voltage (vivid tomato Red)
So far, I can't really pick a favorite from this color family. I love them all for different reasons/ occasions. I am still in utter awe of the quality of these lipsticks and the amazing job Milani did with the color and finish Range.

Are any shades from this group jumping out at you?

Etsy Mania! Aphrodite Lacquers Birthday Polishes Look

Good afternoon and happy Friday!!

Today I have a fun look featuring some Aphrodite Lacquer shades. These polishes are from the B-Day Collection. I really loved this small group of polishes. Right now there is only one of the shades available on the shop. I hope she will be restocking the B-Day polishes because they are SOOO cute and fun.
This look features It's my Party, which is a vivid Neon Pink shimmering creme-jelly. I LOVED this shade. It is SO vibrant, but squishy and shimmery. The shade of Pink is the perfect, neon Barbie Pink. Application was great on this shade. I used Three thin coats. The awesome Purple shade is Wrapping, Ribbons, Bows. This shade is a grape Purple jelly packed full of micro electric Purple glitter. The formula on this shade is a little sheer and need build up. It is also best to wait between coats. I used Three thin coats for my base. Both of these shades dry a bit dull and gritty so a good top coat is a must. I really loved wearing these shades. Isn't it funny how sometimes less really is more?

And here is a swatch of the loveliness that is Make a Wish from the Aphrodite Lacquers B-day Collection. This shade is a lightly shimmering White crelly base packed full of Small Silver hexes. This shade is simply beautiful. The formula was a dream to work with and I only needed Three thin coats. Aphrodite Lacquers are seriously some of my all time favorite Handmade polishes. I love her signature "sammich in a bottle".
What do you think of these pretties? Aren't they fun? I can't wait to see new goodies from Aphrodite Lacquers. In this mad, polished world of ours there are a LOT of talented ladies making beautiful polishes. It is SO hard to narrow down my favorite indie polish makers. I can safely say that Aphrodite Lacquers are definitely at the top of that list.

Do you have an indie maker(s) that always blows you away? I have quite a few myself :D.

China Glaze Avant Garden Collection Swatches- Part One

Hello!!

Yesterday I held a little "poll" on Facebook to see what you guys wanted to see today and ya'll voted for the China Glaze Avant Garden swatches. This post will focus on Six of the Avant Garden Shades (and yes, I will be sharing the other six shades :).
China Glaze did a beautiful job with this collection. All the colors are definitely Spring-perfect and they all compliment each other. There is a nice range of shades in this 12 piece collection.
To see close ups of these pretties just continue reading ♥.

China Glaze Fade into Hue
Fade into Hue is a dreamy shade of Periwinkle creme. This polish gave me a little bit of trouble with photos. It kept wanting to come off a tad more vibrant in pictures than it is in person. Think of this shade with strong Grey undertones. Like a cloudy Sky Blue. I'm not sure how this compares to Secret Periwinkle but they might be cousins. The formula on this shade was just a little patchy but keeping a light hand remedies that issue. I used Three thin coats for my swatch.

China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint On
I was SO sure I was going to loathe this color... It was the complete opposite! This might be one of my very top picks out of this entire collection. Keep Calm, Paint On (LOVE the name) is a lovely minty Seafoam green with a strong Pearly finish. My fear with this shade was that it would look dated, or frosty. SO GLAD it is a beautiful Pearly finish with a perfect application. I had no issues with the formula on this one and only needed Two coats for my swatch. Feeling stressed? Put this on your nails, stare at it while counting to 10... You will feel better!

China Glaze Fancy Pants
Fancy Pants is this trendy shade of vivid Cobalt Blue with subtle Pink- Copper shimmer. The shimmer is so much more evident in the bottle than on the nail. The Blue creamy base is almost too dense to allow the sparkle to show through when the polish is applied. That was a slight bummer. That said, I still adore this shade and the shimmer is obvious enough to make this polish uniquely beautiful. This color has a great formula and could have almost been one coat for me. I did Two coats for my swatch.

China Glaze Dandy Lyin' Around
Dandy Lyin Around is the most angelic shade of shimmering White. This shade is so chic, clean and just plain pretty. The shimmer in this is very fine and Silvery- Pink so it has a snowy quality about it. The formula was slightly thick but not problematic. I used Three thin coats for full opacity. It is best to wait between coats with this shade. And yes, I will comp this with Frosty. Though I'm sure they are quite different.

China Glaze Budding Romance
Budding Romance was an instant favorite for me. This is an edgy shade of Light Olive Green with strong Yellow undertones. This shade has an AWESOME creamy-jelly formula so the finished look is a ridiculously shiny, squishy shade of fierce Green. I used Three thin coats for my swatch. Make sure you are wearing a base coat under this pretty to avoid stains!

China Glaze Tart-y to for Party
How great are these names!? Tart-y for the Party is a beautiful shade of cool toned Lilac creme. I love this shade because it is more vivid than other "pastel" Purples to come out this Season. This shade is classic and still beautiful. The formula on this beauty was buttery smooth. I used Two coats for my swatch.

China Glaze knows the way to my heart. Amazing cremes in fun and interesting colors, fantastic formulas and quirky names... What more could you want? I can't wait to try out the other half of this collection. I am SO in love with the Six in this post. I'd have to say my top picks are Budding Romance, Dandy Lyin Around and Fancy Pants. Fade into Hue and Tart-y for the Party are a refreshing take on the more classic colors. Keep Calm, Paint On is on a league all it's own... Could it be I've found my favorite color for Spring in this collection?

Do you have any picks from this half?

Spring Rolls Jelly Sammiches!

Hello my beauties and happy Friday!!

Today I have a quick post for you guys featuring some yummy glitter-jelly sammiches. While I was swatching my China Glaze Bitz 'n' Pieces Collection I figured it would be fun to see them sandwiched as well.
I won't be going into huge detail about each look since these are simple jelly sammiches. This is still one of my favorite methods to spice up a plain manicure. I will break down the polishes used from base color to top color to keep things easy haha!

China Glaze Tart-y for the Party, Bling it On- Sammiched with O.P.I Care to Danse?

China Glaze Dandy Lyin' Around, Mosaic Madness- Sammiched with O.P.I Don't touch my Tutu

China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint On, Graffiti Glitter- Sammiched with O.P.I Don't touch my Tutu

China Glaze Fade into Hue, Glitz 'n'n PIeces- Sammiched with O.P.I My Pointe Exactly
If you are a lover of the jelly sandwich look you will definitely love the Bitz 'n ' Pieces Collection by China Glaze! Also, I really want O.P.I (or anyone) to release more jellies a'la O.P.I NYC Ballet Collection. Those were, and still are, some of my favorite polishes ever.

For some strange reason I am SO very reado for the weekend to start!! Maybe I should rock a jelly sammich to get it started right!!
